Whats the deal with Ksport Air Suspension?
Anyone have it?

I'm interested for sure but for $3,500 it better far exceed what I'm expecting.

hmmm wonder how good it is... I've always wanted to have a lowered car but my driveway says other wise, air ride would be the way to go and an all-in-one kit like this is better from them since they already have the measurements and parts for the suspension...

Ya but it doesn't matter what they think. When people start buying my parts they can tell me whats dope and what isn't.
Besides from what I'm reading the performance side of the setup seems pretty stout. Adjust ability is never a bad thing, especially when you're not sacrificing performance.

Having the adjustable shocks and perches should perform alot better than most kits no shocks and fixed heights... but the universal pic doesn't show which type of bag/cylinder set up it's going to use...

Re: Ksport Air Suspension?
Just keep in mind, our Hondas don't use a solid axle like the rear of an old skool low rider. Our toe changes with ride height, which destroys tires insanely quickly on a car that can vary the ride height on demand...

Re: Ksport Air Suspension?
For me the air ride option would be so I could be like everybody else and enjoy a 1-2" lowered stance and then be able to pop up to clear my drive way, speed bumps, dips and so forth. Also in the full air'd out position it makes the car a bit harder to steal/drive which inturn can be used for security measures... I know the geometry is in constant flux and air ride will do more harm than good if it's constantly being played with, it's no different than having a drop kit or coil overs and not having the alignment adjusted afterwards...

I'd like to know the weight of the system and what spring rates come with the kit. Also, are the rates variable depending on the height....

Re: Ksport Air Suspension?
There are no springs in that setup, therefore no spring rate. There would be an "effective" spring rate, since it sort of acts like a spring, but it would probably vary depending on how much pressure is in the bag.

Re: Ksport Air Suspension?
Your alignment would probably be screwy because of the continuous changing of the ride height.

I would argue that you could spend less on some coilovers and your lap times would be even better!

Re: Ksport Air Suspension?
I read an article where Praxis air suspension was installed on a WRX and tests showed the suspension's "spring" rate to be stiffer than most racing lowering springs on the market. Is that gay too?

Obviously it cost more, but there are pro's and con's to everything. Except for AIDS. Which I can't think of any pro's.
Anyways, I always thought it would be cool to bag my crx, but the only reason I haven't would be because of the performance I would be loosing in my suspension. This is kind of like the best of both worlds.
To me an SiR'd CRX pancaked to the floor with a set of dope *** work wheels would really wet my whistle.

I think that's where I read it, but Turbo Magazine also did the same.

It's just not me. That's all. If you guys want to spend 4k on some airbags go ahead, but you won't catch me doing it.

Re: Ksport Air Suspension?
Has ksport really earned the trust of the honda-tech community? People are so quick to talk trash about obx but zomg ksport has air ride suspension!! And nobody even cares to mention there numerous failing shocks or the numerous dealers that stopped carrying there product line due to excessive failures!!

Re: Ksport Air Suspension?
And that is why this system failed. Too expensive and complicated, plus some marketing genius put a coil spring in the logo for an air suspension. However, having driving the Praxxis WRX a few times (we have one of the old ones at work), I never found the lowest and harshest setup all that bad. I'm not sure of the effective spring rates on it, but the ride really wasn't that bad. Handles pretty good too. Too bad the car is pretty much ragged out now.

is it like a full on drop out bag kit, or is it slower, like a VIP bag kit?

Re: Ksport Air Suspension?
Hello All I am new to the forums but I wanted to let everyone know I purchased the K-Sport air ride kit 4 months ago and finally got it I am hoping to install in the next week or two. (sorry just really busy) some say air ride is ghetto or gay but I cant drive fast anyway - I drive a '08 Honda Civic Hybrid with a full Mugen Body kit and wheels and I need to raise the car up to get into the drive ways... here is a pic of my car and I will post up some pics and video after I install the k-sport air kit
