EK Hatch - DC2 ITR Sway Bar bushings wont fit with ASR Subframe Brace & Spoon Street muffler??
My car is a '96 EK Hatchback, originally a 1.4i(I'm in Ireland), now with a JDM Integra SiR engine with UKDM DC2 ITR Gearbox(&matching brakes)
On the rear I have SRR Lower Control Arms/Wishbones.
I got an DC2 ITR rear anti-roll/sway bar and EK SiR Drop links, and an ASR rear Sub frame brace(the dollar being so weak against the Euro negates some of the shipping costs to Ireland from California!).
I've just gone to fit it, and discovered that the sway bar bushings will not fit between the backbox and the ASR brace?!
Exhaust is an EK SiR center section with Spoon Street backbox for EK4 hatch(well, it came in from Japan on another EK hatch and fits perfect so I'm assuming its meant for the hatch).
Anyone else had this problem??
I also have a Beaks V1 Mount kit which I suppose I can use(although I'm suspicious that will be a tight fit also), but the ASR brace is clearly superior in every way as it builds on top of the basic functionality of the beaks kit.

So from what i can gather, you have an OEM Style Muffler which is decently close to your subframe. This makes minimal space to fit the D brackets between the backside of the muffler and ASR Subframe brace correct???
I had the same problem on my Hatch. Simple Solution if you are not worried about what your Muffler looks like from the backside. I just used a Hammer. Here is a pic.

Re: (98vsmhatch)
Its a Spoon Street Type muffler(backbox is what we call them here).
And, while I dont care about what the muffler looks like back there - I would need to put a mega dent in it to provide enough clearance!
Here is how close it is:

Hmmm.... Well I don't think smashing the back of the muffler is an option here, it would need to be smashed in about an inch/inch & half, which I don't think is a good idea.
I've decided to cut the exhaust pipe just before it goes into the muffler and extend it by an inch or so, then slice an inch or so off the tail pipe. I have a friend who is handy with a welder.
It won't have the tapered end on it then but, I think it will look alright.
