DA9 brake caliper HELP!

DA9 brake caliper HELP!
Okay I was changing my rear brake pads on my 92 integra and on the right rear one the piston wasn't moving at all, and after a while of playing around with it I got it out by pressing the brakes really hard. Now I'm stuck on what to do...should I buy a new caliper or just replace the gasket on the piston? There was a lot of gunk on the piston but I cleaned it off.
And will a 3rd gen integra caliper work on a 2nd gen?

Re: DA9 brake caliper HELP!
you removed the piston by pressing the brakes with the caliper off? For one that isnt really safe and two, you could have damaged the piston doing that. At this point you might as well replace the caliper. Rebuilding calipers is a seldom used process anymore considering replacing them isnt too expensive in most cases. As for mismatching calipers, im not positive on that one.
Also, by removing the piston like that was a mistake because the issue might not even be the caliper. Could be a bad hose. But the only way to check that is to open the bleeder on the caliper and then attempt to push the piston in. If the piston goes back in with the bleeder open, it means you have a clog or internal damage to the hose. Youll have to put a new caliper on, put it back together, press on the brake pedal to push the piston out, then remove the caliper and see if the piston pushes in or if the hose is causing the problem..
