The spring compresses so much that there is no more travel left in the strut and it hits the bump stops and can't move any more.

Or it could also mean your car is actually hitting the ground. I have heard it used both ways.

dont be a cheap *** and get good **** dont cut your springs

im not talking hondas specifically, just general suspension tuning...

in several suspension tuning books (some of the classics) they recommend cutting your stock springs.

cutting the spring makes it stiffer. that can be a good thing. again, maybe a bad idea for our cars, but its not unacceptable in every scenario

Let me first preface this by saying, I in no way encourage cutting springs of any type, for the most part its unsafe and leads to a horrible ride.

That being said, I've owned neuspeed race springs and they seem to have a lot of dead coils, I can see how you cut those without any noticeable affect, or really any stiff spring with a number of dead coils, but stock springs, no.

Yeah i dont approve for cutting your stock springs it will ride like crap and your car will feel like ****. Dont take the risk and just save up.
