Default car swerving at higher speeds?

aright well i have a stock suspension on right now and at upper speeds say 115 not exactly when i hit 115 but around there sometimes the car will start to have these swaying characteristics and one time it almost went out of control...is this because of my weak suspension?i dont know...also i just got different tires...like some h-rated hankooks...could that be whats causing it or what...iono cuz its pretty scary...any help appreciated

Yep, I wouldn't be driving that fast with a stock setup.

I have a complete suspension setup on my civic and at speeds that high it feels comfortable, almost too comfortable cause you forget how fast you are going.

No problem! my car right now has the following setup:

Edelbrock coilovers 2.5" lowered
Eibach sway bars
no strut bars
and 17" wheels and 205/40R17 tires.

it's the new tires, not the suspension. the tires will settle down once they get more miles on them. so it's not a real problem.

also, i wouldn't be driving 115 on h-rated tires. sure, the tire probably won't fall apart, but why take the chance.

ever had a tire blowout at 115? me neither, but i hope we never find out what it's like.

Why not slow down? You want to risk your life by pushing the envelope witth an unprepared car, fine. But you share the road with a lot of innocent civilians so SLOW THE F DOWN.

But, here are the things that can cause the car to get floaty at those speeds. Bad alignment. Bad tire balance. Worn bushings. Bad aero. Worn shocks. One weak spring. Any loose suspension part.

Not to mention track surface.

- travis, who will pretend we're talking about a track because 115 on public roads pisses him off...
