Bushing deflection in control arms

Bushing deflection in control arms
On the em1/ ek Was wondering how much deflection should oem bushings have. With the front lca bushing that mounts to the subframe using a pry bar how much movement should I have if any front to rear of car when prying at them?
Next question if the front upper control arm I am getting a good 1/2 inch play up and down with the pry bar and some squeaking at time with these safe to say these have had their day?
Im still on the fence of removing the front lower ones as the shock fork bushing is still mint and the inner one is still looking good from as much as i can see it.

you shouldn't have any movement in the bushings, except from the suspension moving up and down. If the bushing itself has play, replace it.
As for the UCA, is the balljoint bad? or does it move up and down without the whole suspension moving?

Re: Bushing deflection in control arms
any rubber bushing is going to have unwanted suspension movement.. if you want to get rid of it, make it solid or spherical bearings.
