Hey all, new to the forum under This name. I had an account before but I lost my info since it had been a while since my last visit. That being said, I thought I may find some answers here with you guys once again.
I have a 90 crx with a 12.19inch big brake kit. The kit has 6 piston calipers in the front. I'm having wheel clearance issues and was wondering if anyone on here has been through this as well. What wheel did you use and with what offset? I've contacted retailers for wheels such as rotas and they do that seem to have a clue as to what the geometry is inside the wheels they sell which is ridiculous in my opinion.
Anyway, legit info is appreciated. Opinions, not so much. I already know quite a few folks are against the big brake kits but this is something I've wanted for a while. Thanks in advance!!!

Every car is different, and I have an Accord, BUT I have a set of 17x8" Enkei Tinjen wheels with a +45 offset and they have quite a lot of clearance for the caliper. Maybe 3". Haven't accurately measured. I use 300mm rotors and NSX calipers so no problem at all. I was thinking about using the Acura RL ones, and I believe they will clear. Take a look at the Tenjins (or other Enkei).

I've got oldskool 16x8 +42 Velox vx8r on it now. The spokes just barely hit where they curve in. I'm on the fence, I may cut a bit from the spoke and take care of the rest with a spacer. I'm just not sure yet. I'd like to find wheel that will clear on its own.

It's hard to see but the wheel is sitting on the lugs about 15mm from the wheel mounting surface. Then the spoke hits the outermost corners by about 1/4" or so.

Thanks to the couple that have replied. A friend of mine said that he has had slips and gram lites on his brake setup. I ordered a set of slips last night. Fingers crossed! I will follow up with pics if they fit. I will also try to give as much info on the fitment as I can once I find out. This way if anyone else has this issue they'll at least know a couple wheel options. Again, thanks!

I've received my rota slipstream wheels in the mail. I tried them on last night and they're so close. I put a 1/4" spacer on and I've got about 1/8" clearance. So if it helps anyone in the future:
1990 crx
Wilwood 12.19" with 6 piston calipers
Rota slipstream 16x7 +40 with 1/4" spacer...
Allows about 1/8" brake clearance and looks fantastic! Picture included is before I tried with the spacer but you can see how nicely the caliper is tucked up in the wheel 😍. Thanks all!

Would it benefit to go with a higher offset? It looks like the diameter is fine. Perhaps +45?

I think with a +45 I may end up with less clearance. I've got +40 right now with a 1/4" spacer. So I essentially have a 16x7 +33.65mm.

So a wider wheel overall. I just hate the look of wheels sticking out past the fenders...

Same size wheel, slightly less of an offset. This setup doesn't give any poke.
