Be careful
I bought a ls shortblock and supposeably 80k and working perfect, nothing wrong..
So of course you gotta check what you buy so I took the pan off but didnt have tools so barly got the pan off to look for metal shavings but couldnt pull of the windage tray so was thinking how to take it off but couldnt because no tools.
So I was kinda iffy but what I thought was kool was he told me If there was anything wrong I COULD GET MY MONEY BACK.. so I said kool.. so I thought the block was good..
I took it apart about 3 days after and noticed 2 rods were black so I took it apart and 2 rods were bad, bearings, and the crank.. even 3 out of 5 of the mains were bad.. I dont even believe it was running I called him back and he (didnt remember sayin he would give me my money back)..
I know I should have check it first so thats why Im callin it a lost..sucks how he said if there was anything he would give me my money back and now sayin he didnt remember said that but whatever....
so thanks battle2.0ek9
here some pics of the good and bad to compare...

Re: Be careful
Sucks, had got burned on several items as well, I guess it would be hard to know if an engine is in good running condition without actually seeing it run.
