If it was brand new for $445 than yeah, I would lower the price greatly!
but your still getting a used camera. who knows what extent of refurbishing went on with the camera.
like a used salvage car.....I still wont touch it.

ok, by all means go for the refurbished ones

Why? Cameras off the assembly line aren't always calibrated spot-on.
Cameras that have been refurbished are usually done by hand and manually calibrated. This means you will not get any front-focus or back-focus issues that are related to the camera.
Most cameras are refurbished due to a faulty shutter. They put in a new one, and now you have a camera with 0 clicks on the shutter, and it has been calibrated.
Also take into consideration that I could buy a nice refurbished Canon XSI for only $20 more from a reputable vendor.
If you would consider a $300-range offer, PM me as I might need a backup camera for my second shooter.
