nope, it was never this bad until recently, coincidently after these meets were causing issues with the cops. yes burbank has always been a *strict* city police wise, but they never bothered me, ever, until now, wonder why? These meets gave us a bad impression, like it or not, giving the cops reason to check up on the import scene more because we have caused issues in the past, i.e, this meet.

yes thieves are everywhere, i agree, BUT i never had any issues, until now once again. can't say it's really the meets fault but why all of a sudden...anyways [freak] thieves, learn to work for your own ****.

This is to everyone who attended Tuner Tuesdays
First off on the meet of 03/25 L.A.P.Ds finest had to Trip for no reason and kick everyone out and harass them

Now I called the owner of the business that gave me the OK to meet in this lot he said that he’s sorry “he thought it would be ok” But LAPD had another idea of our meet ( cant get anything ok’d by LAPD )

So im sorry to say Tuner Tuesday is cancelled Do to LAPD and Other little reasons
Ill tell you what didn’t help ( Ricers / Young High school kids showing off / and people just dicking around )

But we had a nice turnout minus the BAD APPLES nice cars I want to thank Honda-tech Supporters , Team Hybrid , Team Gen-x , Phaze 2 , High End , Autotransmute , Socal Civ, and many others that I left out and cant remember there names

Now as of future Meets/shows I will not be hosting any anytime soon until I get a spot on total Lock DOWN cause im sick of this happening and im SORRY for this happening but thank you all who came out and kept the scene alive and understand me when I say I couldn’t stop LAPD at that point I WILL HOST A MEET LATER ON MAYBE STARTING IN MID SUMMER

Burbank has always been a car enthusiast town. bobs big boy proves that. every Friday, a TON of modified cars show up, it's been going on for years. and they know the young crowd around here is more into the import scene.

this is a fine example of a good organized meet. we know everyone who's gonna show up. they listed their names above. were not spamming it on every damn forum, and i guarantee, no [freak]ing thieves will be there. and if ANY sketchy people show up. you better believe they will be made to leave.

in Burbank i drove around for 3 years in a boosted dc5 with no car, and carbon fiber all over the place. and never once did i get pulled over for a modified car.
from DA's to EK's to DC's all types of cars i've owned, never been sweated. until these last few months.

but like i said. not your complete fault be cause you can't control people, but you can help by organizing a lot better, and not spamming it just to get a huge crowd.

cant really have a succesful meet with cars coming in the hundreds. the meets that really last the longest are the small meets. if u wnt something good u mite as well make it once a month...look at the in-n-out meet that me and the friend made. still going on. not the biggest crowd but its still fun meeting with other people and just kicking it with the homie

the subaru meet at Empire Center has been going on for years on Fridays and to this day is still happening with no cops bothering them. This is because they're a small group and know exactly who is going to show up. They all drive the same car and have nothing to prove.

Mikey is right man, the spots have been burn since Tara Reid was a virgen bro!!Right now is proberly the worse time to host a meet, with the cops patroling more due to soo many shootings in the city. I highly suggest people lay low from meets for a while.

agreed... the meets ain't what it used to be. I attended this meet tuesday night and i can honestly say i sat in my daily bucket laughing. Sheriffs and Cops eating at Pat N Oscars. knew it was gonna be a burn and had SHADY written all over it. I was there for a good 10 mins. Got my coffee and left.

Burbank and Glendale take the same classes that Torrance PD about car modification. And this comes out of family friends who are cops.

When G2ic burbank meet days/eagle rock g2ic days happened it was small and organized. Volcano Tea House happpened every friday nights in Redondo Beach.. and that was a Questoyz spot. Little parking there and we kicked it from the afternoon till after closing. Upper Tea House was popping as well till it was wrecked by drifting fools. And im talking about these meets cause they happened years back.

If your car is fast take it to the track. If you can drift take it to the track. Your system bumps take it to a show. Get my point

Out of everything here... Super Autobacs is probably the best place for a meet if you don't want cops to get involved.. If you visit their site they even have a section where you can email them and tell them you wanna do a meet there and it'd be cool.

I went to alot of meets @ Autobacs before all the weekly/ bi-weekly meets died.
It died due to people no longer showing up, not because of cops and harassment.

Although, there are alot of shady people going to those meets and people aren't too friendly.

Well I got to throw in my .02, I lived in Burbank for the past 3 years and I just moved up to Nor Cal and let me tell you way way way before crazyblue's meets were going on I was getting brutally harassed by BPD. They will make anything up to pull you over. One time when I got pulled over for my exhaust I just asked, how come Harley's never get pulled over for their exhaust it's 10 times louder than mine.... Cop says oh that's because they have different laws.... hmmmm really.... A noise violation is a noise violation whether it be a car, a truck, a harley, hell even if it's coming from your home, it's still a noise violation.

Not trying to be an a-hole just telling you guys how it was for me, I am soooo glad to be out of Burbank. Be safe out there guys and good luck with the meets.

yea if you are gonna hold a meet with that many cars, you are asking for trouble I guess in a way because of the simple fact that you would need many people to be able to control the people who are coming in and out. You can control who comes in, but you can't control what they do on the outside to attract attention and get things broken up.

What are the laws on hood popping anyway? My friend says that only CHP can pop hoods, but I have a feeling that is

you have the right to refuse to pop your hood. they need a warrant i believe. but if you refuse, you're just asking for it.
