Default please help me, re: speaker static

i have a premier deck, a california 60x2 amp, alpine 6.5in front and infinity 6.5in rear speakers.

i wired the amp to the front speakers. with the fade set to 0, there's alot of static from the rear speakers only. when the fade is set to 15 (all the way) rear, the speakers play perfect. but anything from like 5 to 0, they are staticky and distort. the fronts play fine no matter what the fade setting.

i changed the speakers out, and the problem still occurs.

Default Re: please help me, re: speaker static (90 87 90)

i checked my wiring, and everything seems to be correct.

my deck has 3 sets of RCA outputs, two that are labeled and external: front and subwoofer/non-fading, and one set that's built into the back of the deck: rear?.

the RCAs were plugged into the external set labeled FRONT. i unplugged them from there, and plugged them into the set built into the rear of the unit. so now with the fader at full FRONT, the rears still pop and crackle. at 0 they still pop and crackle. but now with the fade at full REAR, both front and rear speakers seem to play perfectly.

WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST DO? i'm confused....
