Tire shaving in central NC?

Anyone know of someplace that shaves tires, located in Raleigh, Winston-Salem, or Charlotte?

Piedmont Truck Tire on Westgate Drive in Raleigh shaves them unmounted. - $15 per tire.

There's a place in durham called Nutread which shaves them mounted.

No personal experience - just heresay from the THSCC mailing list.

I'm not sure if Piedmont will shave auto tires anymore. They ruined quite a few recently, and after paying to replace them, they seem to be a bit gun-shy.

They can shave them, but the one I saw was down to about 1/32nd when they were done. It was a Kumho MX with a "hologram" tread.

I am happy to be able to report that, if anyone else finds themself needing tire shaving in NC, they will get great service from Joseph at Hall Tire in Greensboro. The guy has been shaving tires for 38 years.
