Default will an eclipse motor fit in my crx?

hey all, this site is the shiznit

i just joined because i finally got my 86 honda crx dx and i love it. its pretty fast right now but i want it to be so much faster.

i was telling my friend that i want to put a talon esi awd turbo motor in it because i heard those things are awesome and he says why not just put an eclipse motor in?

i mean, i've heard of talon motors but an eclipse motor in a crx??? that just sounds like too much work.

then i was wanting to make the crx 4 wheel drive too, can i do that?

that engine bay is too small for an eclipse engine and barely fits a b16 with a lot of work. As for fast and the furious lots of people on this site make fun of that movie.

You'd see hes alot more intelligent by the words he used in my signature as opposed to what hes displayed here today.

Oh lets get started.

1) Yes a talon motor will fit in a CRX, it's been done before and from what I hear it's fast as crap

2) The reason the Eclipse on the fast and the furious won is because it's a movie! That much boost and all that nitrous would send the pistons straight through the hood.

3) An Eclipse and a Talon motor are the same! They are both made my Mitsu (actually Mopar)

4) Acura is made by Honda! They are both Honda motors.

5) Do a search it has been discussed before.

Hope this helped.

dood i had a 98 mitsu eclipse...that bitch was brakin down ever 5 miles...and besides...if your talking about putting a RS or GS motor in a honda...that other dood is right stick to honda cuz the GS and RS motors were both made by DODGE and WE ALL know dodge has not a damn thing on HONDA...so there is your answer to your hideous question...if you thinking about putting money like that into your rex...the do a 350...

watch the movie more closely, the eclipse is actually a rs or gs with a 420a if you look at the valve cover.. no awd

A lot of you guys are actually pretty stupid. Money talks and so does creativity. I personally have met (and seen pics) of someone with a 4g63 awd DSM motor in their CRX. Don't flame the guy for asking a question, is it practical? No. Can it be done? Yes.
