Who else in here has K-fever?
For a couple days now, all I can think about is my 94 CX with stock 13 inch steelies, stock exhaust and a K20a inside..... lol
Who in here can't wait for the kit to come out? Or even who thinks they can pull it off on there own?
Oh, one more thing... remember the website http://www.h22a.org ?
I registered http://www.k20a.org I will run a free phpbb forum hoping to gather some knowledge on the k20a tuning and swaps.

I'm so torn between doing the typical B swap or going ***** out for the K series in my hatch.
I used to think the Kseries / "EG" swap would be a total nightmare, but from everything i have read/researched so far, the wiring seems like it would be the only intimidating part to me.

who, with a civic, doesn't want a k202r?</TD></TR></TABLE>
wtf is a k202r!?
and it doesnt seem that bad. is the shift linkage still under the car? or is it h22 style?
and from what i heard, you can use the k20 axles or gsr/ls ones, im not sure on those.
wiring is a giant nightmare.

[sarcasm]Oh, sLeEpEr n ****. Tiiite![/sarcasm]
What the hell is the point of 13 inch steelies on your car besides the fact that you are cheap and can't afford wheels? And the stock exhaust, ridiculous. I agree that the k20r motor is an awesome motor but I don't agree with idiots driving around with them in their car trying to race everyone on the street.

he never said he was trying to race his car on the street. you just assumed such
and i have k20 fever like mad. i wish i could do a k20a swap. im waiting for it to be more common, because i dont have too much first hand swap experience. wait for some company to make a wiring harness for the swap.. hasport for the mounts, and it wont be too bad after that.

Right, I'm sure we'll see him at VIR with his 13 inch steelies and stock pirelli's.

Re: Who else in here has K-fever? (Jackson)
Hahhah...
hey Jackson, if you had a 100% stock civic and you were about to drop the K in there, would buy wheels and exhaust for it before you buy the swap?
If I were to "try" to do it now, I would first try to get in and running....
Then, what you would do? Shop for rotas, or take it for a spin?
What is really got me thinking about this if that if I do buy it and fail to do it on my own and the help of my friends, by the time failure is certain, the kit will be out.
They can take away our rights, our cars, and our wives but they can neer take away our right to dream.
Jackson, forget it man..... I am not making you a moderator in k20a.org
Cheers to the dreamers!!!

In that case, sorry for stepping on your toes. I am just sick of seeing all these kids on here talking about quarter mile numbers and what not. I guess I took your post the wrong way and just took it out on you.

Are you sure about that? I believe It uses cables to shift as oppose to rods. Hydro for thr clutch not cables.

Re: Who else in here has K-fever? (Nikos)
K series motors no doubt have huge potential. But dam, their still a fairly new series of engines, which means the price of the engines themselves is very high, not even considering the install. (One of the reasons I got a civic was because of its cost effectiveness.)
It would still be super cool to see though. But, in the performance aspect, your always going to hit a brick wall in fwd 4 cylinder on street tires.
On a side note, B series motors have been around since 1988 right? The integra was the last line of b series produced in 2001, (right? I'm not sure) So that's around 13 years of production of B series motors, how long do you think the K series will last?
