Default My fuel pump install experience 94 accord ex

the walbro 255lph intank pump...
does honda not want us to change the fuel pump or what?.. but yeah here's my install..it was a pain but not even close to being as painful as the clutch install.. The pump is slightly louder.. not too noticeable..

i unclamped all the hoses connected to the tank, disconnected the wire from the trunk, unbolted the straps, and one thing i didn't do but should have done.. drain the damn fuel. pretty straight forward though

close up of the tank

comparing the new fuel pump from the stock one

new one installed

inside the tank

installed and somewhat cleaned.

after that.. raised the tank with jack stands, bolted up the straps that holds up the tank, and reconnected all the fuel lines... there's actually one hard line you have to torque down at honda specs.. i believe it's 37 lbs with teflon paste on the threads... enjoy

Good write-up!

Yah, it's a little longer, but I think it just the way it's leaning in the pic.

for honda and acura the fuel pump is usually under the seat...if you remove the seat you can see the fuel pump...much easier than get'n under the car and drop'n the fuel tank...

for my 94 accord, they're different than the civics and integs.. honda decided to give the 5th gen owners a headache. when i looked under the car without the tank, i couldn't find any potential hatches to access the fuel pump

not sure about the other generations though...

No, you won't find easy access in the trunk. You'll find it sitting on the shelf of your local hardware store:

the opening in the back seat is for the sender, not the pump.

I believe Cali Luv just did this for his H22 build, you may want to contact him to see if he has pics of the process, With a thread this old I wouldn't count on them having the pics saved.
