Intake Control Solenoid needed with AEM CAI v2?
Recently purchased a 1994 Accord EX, and have been performing all of the maintenance that the previous owner seems to have neglected. Was originally having the Idle Surge Issue common with these cars, and after cleaning the IACV, adjusting the FITV, and cleaning the EGR ports, the issue seems fixed.
So, today I installed an AEM Dual Chamber CAI, and there was nothing in the instructions provided on what to do with the Intake Control Solenoid (part 9 here)
Is this solenoid still needed?
If not, I know that I will need to plug the line to keep from having a vacuum leak. Should this line be plugged at the Engine Mount Control Solenoid Valve on the driver's side of the throttle body? Or, should I just run a straight vacuum line from the IAR Vacuum Tank to the Engine Mount Control Solenoid Valve?
Any advice that can be shed on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
