Started to pull the radiator when I discovered the bolt holding the bracket to the support was pretty much round and rusted.

At this point I decided time for fun so I grabbed my Dremel and grounf it off most of the way then just knocked it off. Power tools and sparks woot!

Called it a night after an hour or so and will continue on tomorrow.

You could have used a screw extractor for that radiator bracket.

And you could clean up that intake and sell it to some rice punk for like 25 bucks.

Small amount of work last night, everything except the mounts, linkage and driver side axle is disconnected from the engine. Early next week I hope to pull the engine.

Exhaust disconnected from the header.

That might be the gnarliest rust spot I have ever seen on an EK. Keep it up, that v6 torque is a blast to drive!

No clue on the actual mileage, ex cluster says 265 and PO told me that was correct. I will carfax it when I have a chance.

The body work is going to be an adventure, I have never done any in my life.

Better get the welding equipment and angle grinder out if you want it done right. Dont use a rivet gun and bondo like i did.

Busy Easter weekend out of town. Took off today and finished pulling the motor, now I can start cleaning the bay up.

Got the whole front half of the bay removed of everything, this weekend I will get the rest out.

Sorry JoeBlue, selling the swap to my buddy for one hell of a deal. I will have other parts available at some point.

No pics, but before the weekend is up I will have some.

srsly? Its not a muscle car with a blower sticking out. Its an ugly intake manifold.

if you're gonna upgrade the intake system please just get a civic manifold for the car.

Small update.

Picked up a welder today for the body and engine bay work, plus maybe future projects.

Worked on cutting out the spot welds on the front end, used a spot weld cutter I just got in the mail.

And I finished pulling the harness out, the thing was hacked to death so I cut some of it out, I doubt I will be able to salvage much.

Respect the J series swap

Finally, a build on here interesting enough to entertain me while I'm away from mine....
But where are the updates?

I am hoping next week to get back to work. Selling the wifes car and buying her Vette took some time away from my project.
