01 CL motor in 99 TL temp guage not working?
Let me start by saying I searched Google for this and can't turn any clear info up. I just got this car already swapped for the cheap but the temp guage isn't working and there is a single wire I believe is for the sending unit near thermostat housing/ egr housing but nothing to plug to. I found a pic on Google that showed it hooked up to the right of the egr (looking from driver fender at motor). What would I need to do to get my temp guage working? The motor is CL type s btw

Definiatly should be a little temp sensor to plug that pigtail into.. I have an 01 tl motor in my 99 tl and it had this sensor so i dont think its a year issue... maybe a model issue or maybe the sensor is tucked back into there and you cant see where to plug your pigatil into? Worst case it is located somewhere else in the coolant passage and you have to lengthen your wire to make it plug up.. should be the same sensor for most years and models of acura in that era

Thanks for the reply and I will continue to look around for the sensor when I have time. I looked on eBay to see if I could find a thermostat housing that had the plug in that same area and none of them ranging from 99-06 had that sensor on it?? I've done alot of Honda swaps and even did a motor swap on an 04 TL before but was same engine so it was easy. I'm either going to find it or find some way to add that sensor in the coolant tract.
