-yes, it was. I've known of his weakness, Jorge/Rossi/Pedrobot know this now.
-lulz, BostonF1. my name has appeared once or twice on everyone's time sheet for a month or so only for it to be crushed with some insanely low, inconceivable lap. ****'s rigged over there.

Re: The Official Formula 1 2014 Season Thread
Why, though, would Mattiacci wish to see him leave? Because, according to the Italian grapevine, he knows that Alonso is the de facto leader of the team, and he wants to demonstrate that he is in charge, that his law must be accepted, and he believes that with Vettel that would be easier to achieve – not least because, unlike Alonso, fully conversant both with the language and the mentality at Ferrari, Sebastian doesn’t even speak Italian…
Interesting article though.
It’s no secret that Honda is desperate to have him, and at any price, but I’d say that the balance of probability is that in the end Alonso will stay put next year, hoping finally to cash in on all those years of thwarted effort and inspiration, but then, if he sees no worthwhile progress, make a move in 2016.

IIRC Vettel speaks Italian. He picked it up while driving for Toro Rosso. I think they talked about it in his 36 episode on NBC.
Why was there never another F1 episode of that show?

Why was there a single episode? Because that was a RB production that NBCSN just borrowed to fit their own mold. They cheap.

Would've been nice to have a similar special on all the drivers.
I remember that episode... I think his Italian goes as far as food dishes? Can't recall... or was it that he was learning to cook Italian?

But think about it. Most of the material was way dated by a couple years. Wasn't 36 hours recently as they led you to believe.
Dey bitches.

Max Verstappen will have his first official Formula 1 race weekend outing at the Japanese Grand Prix, with Toro Rosso confirming he will drive in first free practice.
The Dutchman, who will race for the Italian outfit in 2015, has been waiting to find out if the FIA would grant him a superlicence so could begin his preparations.
That approval has now been given, meaning Verstappen will run in FP1.
Speaking about his first F1 outing, Verstappen said: "I am very much looking forward to taking part in a free practice session at a grand prix for the first time.
"It is good preparation for next year, even if it's not something I could have imagined a few months ago.
"To already be participating in a practice session is of course a dream come true."
He added: "For me it will be a very valuable experience, spending some time in the car and also getting used to working with everyone in the team, to prepare myself for next year.
"I am not going there to break any records, I just want to gain experience.
"I have spent one day driving this track on the simulator, which helps a bit, but it's no substitute for driving it for real."
Verstappen racked up the necessary mileage to qualify for a superlicence in a test with a 2012 car earlier this month.

Indeed. But he knew it was purgatory if he stayed with them. But he did have a sweet gig as a WEC driver. But realistically he had very little to nill chance of getting behind the wheel of a Ferrari F1 car.

True dat.
I can see that as a solid possible alternative for him. He is the only Asian on the field and I'm sure that would go over well back in the land of the rising sun. And who knows, when old man BUT leaves he could possibly take his seat
