Default 245/55-15 M&H Drag radials

Found these while searching for a new tire to run for 700+ hp, was wondering if anyone has any experience with these. Im running an exospeed front and I think these will fit pretty nicely, but don't matter how nice they fit if they don't hook. Anyone??

You will get mixed reviews on this I am sure. I have no experience with them, but they look like they should work.

You sold your Ek hatch didn't you? What is in the works now?

Yea I sold it, But I picked up a black EK hatch and started build number 2. Very similar setup as last time but going to do a better fuel setup so I can push it further and also the charge pipe and intercooler setup will be much more efficient. Heres a small video.

How do the hoosiers work for you? 275 would be pretty sick if they'll fit under the exospeed front. What about the MT Street radial in the 275/50?

How's your fitment with the 275s?

I'm running an Exo front end and trying to figure out how much cutting needs to be done.

I'm on the fence on a couple of different tires;

Good luck with this one. Looking forward to seeing more vids of it running. The last one got pretty popular as I saw the vids of it spread around online.

I've seen a lot of people have had success with the 235/65 M&H tire, this seems like a good option being a 26inch tire compared to the 235/65 which is a 27inch tire if I'm not mistaken? Can someone confirm?

It's not the 235/65, it's the 235/60. M&H declares they're a 25.4" tall tire but they physically measure out to be 26". Those are the the RaceMasters that are a bias ply radial. The 245/55 aren't a bias ply tire I believe...

I had really good luck with the 235/60/15 Street/Strip Bias ply tires on the street and at the track.

The only problem I had was that they are 26" tall. Makes the car sit up much higher in the front which doesnt really help keep your weight from transferring at all.

I ran them at the track on 9lbs of pressure (too low in my opinion) and went 10.80 @ 142.

i dont think those 245 55 15 will hook as good as the bias ply 235 60 15 m&h. i have never had a tire hook anywhere close to the m&h. i believe bias ply is key.

I believe you are correct!

I just dont see any reason to run a radial tire on a car that has traction issues. I like the fact that they are significantly lighter too. Less rotating mass- Better!

What we need is an M&H 255/50/15 Street/Strip Bias Ply tire. That would be the ticket.
