Re: TrackJack, new portable lift
I was wondering why the page I was looking at the other day magically went away
They were changing the name of it.
Here is a question
Is it short enough length wise to fit in-between the front and back wheels of a civic?
61" length is pretty long.

Re: TrackJack, new portable lift
Just ordered one from your site, Andrie! Figured I would rather support the racer than some other random company!
Thanks for the review, hope I can get it under my drag Integra, lol.
Have they started shipping these? I read something about them putting wheels on future versions, I assume on one end to drag them out of the trailer easily?

Re: TrackJack, new portable lift
So I guess I won't be getting one. Andrie was told they were shipping next week, now I am being told March for an AC powered one. There are a couple DC powered ones, but I prefer AC as I already have a generator at the track and can use the AC version at the shop without lugging a battery around too..

Re: TrackJack, new portable lift
I have a GTR I would love to use this on but sadly it's 3,800 lbs without me in it. Can the weight limit be bumped up? Most modern day sport and super cars are above the weight limit of this jack. I would think a 4,000 lbs limit would increase the market size for this product substantially.

Joe, Thanks for ordering it through me. I appreciate it.
Official weight limit is 3500 lbs. Testing was done to 7000 lbs. However, they have to include factor of safety. Because of lawyer stuff, I can not advise anyone to use above 3500 lbs. There will be 5000 lbs version nearing end of the year. But weight will increased by 30-50% making it slightly heavy portable unit.
Currently, one person can haul each jack easily as it weighs around 40 lbs. This is pretty low. It is easily fit under my lowered miata that an aluminum jack barely fits. It fits under my S2000, that needed a 2x4 under the tires to have an aluminum jack fit under.
The sale of the AC unit exceeded expectation. The first batch was quickly gone. I guess we underestimated the demands.
My crew love this. One of the biggest advantage is you can lift the car in tight quarters. How many time did we have problem with the jack handle hitting wall or whatever beside the car?

Andrie- I just noticed you are located in Concord, CA. I am located in the Bay Area as well. Can I swing by your shop to check out the unit in person?

I will be in Concord today at 4 PM. Do I swing by your shop or Twincam to see the unit? I know where Twincam is I do not know where Prima Racing is.
