Default deep whistling noise at high speeds

Been having this ongoing problem with my 99 crv. Every time I go up to speeds of 70+I get a whistling noise somewhere around driver side. Its not a high pitched sound its like a deep whistle wind blowing. I thought it was ac but the whistle is there even when ac is off. Could this be a vacuum leak? It almost sounda like its coming out of the vent on left side of steering wheel. Not too sure though. Anyone get this?

A bad bumper or even under fender plastic can cause this. I check over the stuff that looks loose and go from their, cuz whistles can be annoying as *uck.

A more accurate sound of what im getting is a howling type of sound. Sounds just like as if you were to blow on the top of a glass bottle.

You sure you don't have one of those deer whistles installed?

Got a video of the sound. I recorded it pointing camera at this vent area cuz this is where I hear it from. It could be from somewhere else in front of driver side but I hear it from here most.

Sorry, I know this post is old and dont mean to bump it back up, but I'm having the same problem with a 1997 CRV I've recently bought. I watched the video and it is the exact same sound. I changed the wheel bearings and have the intermediate shaft bearing sitting in my garage watching to be changed. The noise is driving me crazy and hopefully someone has an idea as to the cause of the noise. Mean time I'll just keep searching for whistling noise posts. Thanks all.

If you have cross bars on the roof and they are not installed properly the will make whistle noise on the highway

Wheel bearing will start making noise at 40 mph
Or it could be bad tires as well
But if you go about 40 mph on a open street and sway the car left to right like trying to avoid something but do it gently
If its bad wheel bearing the noise will go away and come back
The side that your putting the load on gets louder then its that side bearing

The tires and wheel bearings are new (as well as the lower and upper control arms, struts, ball joints, and cv shafts). The only thing I haven't changed are the intermediate shaft bearing and AC tensioner. It is definitely a rotational noise. very soft and hard to notice at low speed but definitely there at freeway speed -- gone when you are stopped. exact same sound as jayjazmin's video. The cross bars are an interesting thought. I'll take mines off and give it a try, but it sounds like the noise is coming from lower on the car.
