Quick Question About MTF Draining/Fill
Today, I figured I was going to change my MTF on my 99 Si. I originally bought 2 quarts of Honda Genuine MTF a week back and was finally gonna change the MTF in my car today. Anyways. I first unscrewed the fill bolt and there was some oil spilling out into my pan, which is normal. Then I decided to unscrew the drain bolt, and for about 30 seconds or so, the MTF finished draining itself. I didn't exactly measure it, but I know for damn sure that it was no more than perhaps 1/2 a quart. I left the pan there for another minute or two just in case, and there was nothing coming out at all. So I figured, the person who had this car before me probably didn't put enough MTF in there. Anyways, I then hook up my tube with the funnel into the fill. After pouring about half a quart of my first bottle of Honda MTF, I noticed that it was leaking out of the damn fill hole.
I'm stumped as to what was going on. Did all the MTF really drained out? I even proceeded to tighten my grip on the tube and made extra sure that nothing was loose, then I poured another half a quart, and it was going in for a little bi more, before dripping all out again. Oh and the car was on a flat leveled surface. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.
