... ok I got 89 crx si with b 18a1..never overheated . but when I got it, it was a mess all around ...but I notice that when I got it the temp guage doesn't work... and when I drive on hwy.. it has like purges of more gas.. I can feel the car picking up .. If am right I think the coolant temp sensor also controls the gas... so I wanna get this right ... for a smooth ride...also when I got it the guy had a civic half radiator in it with the overflow tank blocked...(I changed it) and I think somethings blocked off the mani too... by the way I have plenty of good pictures just that me galaxy3 won't like copy the address... post your email I can send them to whom ever .maybe someone can post them for me thanks

check the 1 wire coolant temp sensor under the distributor wire color should be yellow/green make sure its connected if not chk the wire for continuity with a digital volt meter other end of wire should be under driver side dash

And the purges of gas??? Is it a stutter? Might wanna check to see if your tps is bad or out of adjustment
