I am not new here but im new to posting. I have been creeping the forum for a while now and thought i would actually post what i have and what i am doing now. Maybe get some input and feedback on everything. I dont have any pictures tonight but i will be posting some tomorrow of everything being done.

As of now i have my 92 Hatch. I bought it with a b16 swapped into it and have loved every minute of it. Well me being the person i am decided i wanted more and i didn't want to buy a b18c for it or do the lsvtec so i decided to build my B16a which is where i sit right now. I have the motor completely pulled tranny dropped and wire tuck has been commenced ( like i said ill post pics later when i charge my camera and whatnot).

Well when i pulled the motor it seems cherry. Looks like it has very little ware and tare on the motor itself. But since im going to be driving it cross country back to Ga soon i decided to go ahead and do a full rebuild. New bearings, rings, seals and everything front to back top to bottom. The only thing that will be stock in the motor is going to be the crank, rods, and pistons.

I am building the head with blox stage 3 cams, supertech flat valves, dual titanium valve springs and keepers. Going to be running some adjustable cam gears just dont know which ones yet ( ideas for budget but good gears accepted). Will be running a stock intake manifold with cold air intake and stock fuel injectors ( unless i can acquire better ones before i leave). This is really all i have so far. will post pics and updates as i go along.

I know its not much. But the Head is at the machine shop getting a valve job done. I am waiting for it to come back and finishing the motor. Will post more pics once i get all my lines for the brake tuck and start on it. Would love any input. Also going to be replacing the fuel line with stainless braided and an inline filter.

You'll need to increase the comp to really benefit from those stage 3 cams afaik they're similar(if not the same) to skunk's tuner 3's which need/highly recommend around 11:5 + compression for them to be worth it. I say sell them and get some ITR ones or get some high comp pistons and run those stage 3's. I like the purple bay + VC looks nice ! GL to you.

thanks for the input b swapped... im gonna keep the stage 3 cams and run them on the stock bottom end for now. I have another b16 block back home in Ga that once i make my move back there in the next couple of months i will be building the bottom end to match the head. I know i need the higher compression to really benefit its just all happening in stages instead of all at once.

Like the purple bay. What the reason for using stainless line for the fuel?

For the brake line tuck I like to use all 90 degree fitting,it cost a little more but your able to keep the brake lines tight to the firewall on the inside and just make a it look a lot nicer. All so helps if keeping heat.

I do not see how one would tuck "Hard lines" on the brake system... where the hell do you put them?

They go between the bulkhead and firewall, rather than on the front of the firewall.

I am using stainless steel braided line just because its more cost effecient through ANplumbing.com. And so all my lines (brake, fuel, clutch) all match and can be tucked out of the way. I am actually doing something similar to the chasebays kit and running them inside the cab on the inside of the firewall

You can tuck hardlines as well it just takes alot of bending and extra line. I have done it before but i am actually using stainless steel braided line. I am not racing or anything so the difference between the hardline and the braided line is very little.

The paint is just a single stage Acrylic Enamel in Firemist Purple.

Good luck man! Looks great! I'd also suggest blurring your plates though... can never be to safe now-a-days.

thanks electron blue. The plates in that first pic are not the plates on the car.. i got the car in california its now registered and plated in Ga thats why i didn't worry about blurring it.

You can convert the stock fuel feel line to an using this fitting. It's cheaper then using all stainless line.

Its not that they bother me its just the look i am going for ya know.

BTW!!!!! if anyone by chance knows of a lead on some cheap used cam gears that someone would be willing to part with please send them my way lol. I know its in the wrong place but whatever haha

sadly i have been in the field (army) for the last 2 weeks and will be for another week. But i was able to have my wife pick up my head from the head shop. I got some oldschool AEM true cam gears from here and will be going on leave/vacation for the first half of july so hopefully i will be able to get the car together and everything. Will post updated pics soon

Ok so its been a minute since i updated this. I finally got the head back from the shop and she is nice and clean. Went through a 12 pack of beer and 2 hours and got the motor and tranny in last night. Leaving for vacation in the morning so just thought i would throw an updated teaser pic up before i go. I got all the bulkheads for the brake line tuck done i just have to order the actual lines on payday and build a bracket for the prop valve to sit right inside the cabin. well enjoy the single pic. Will post more next weekend once i get back from vacation.
