Headlight Lens cleaning
My driver side headlight looks all foggy and mucky. Do those headlight cleaning kits really work? Or are they just a waste of $20? Dealerships say the only remedy is a whole new headlight, which seems awfully excessive.
Wondering if anybody has some DIY solutions.

Re: Headlight Lens cleaning
i bought one of those 3m kits a year ago.... since most of our Vs driver side HL gets cloudy for some
reason idk, most Vs in my area and i see on the road have the same problem, i tried to clean up
my white Vs HL, 30mins. passed i gave up! LOL... i was looking into the package it says it could
clean 2 HL but i doubt it, instead i looked online for new HL, cheapest one i saw was on ebay
and its on sale, 68/pair shipped! i just paid it and waited... 3days i have a bnew HL! i just put on
film on the copy ones they seems to look decent and the light difuse is OK! needs a bit of allignment
after that im good... one thing good w/ the film is that when it starts to get cluody again i could
just remove and replace it, i think theres a clear one just ask your local sticker shop pr tint shop.

i used this stuff. worked great. you have to wet sand your head lights though before putting this stuff on. wet sand 500 grit, then 700 grit. wash off, dry, apply a small amount on head light, let it set for a min, polish off with a paper towel or rag. my head lights looked almost new.

hmmm 500 grit wet sanding, and 700 grit, i can give that a shot. Don't those lens cleaning kits usually come with sand paper in it too? I'm not sure whats in those things.
Sanding the headlight won't scratch it all up?

Just use 1000 & 2000 wetsand than buff with plastic compound. Than use the plastic sealer . . 500 and 700 are only used if ur headlights were completely faded & yellow

i use a 3m kit with meguiers plastic polish in it. Works amazing. Used it on many many cars. usually takes about 5 minutes per headlight to go from terrible to nearly new.
