Center console swap
Hey guys I'm looking to buy a 96 civic its a base model NO power windows, mirrors, locks ,steering very basic. However it very clean both inside and out howevere theres one thing i would like to change on the interior. And thats the center console the one thats in there now (wasent able to find pics ) just goes from the cup holders straight back to the e-brake and has no arm rest / center compartment my question is if I get a center console with the arm rest will it fit into place over the e-brake ? I found a picture of the one I want ill post below. Hopfully someone knows what the one in there with out the arm rest looks looks like.

Re: Center console swap
I know on the 5th gen Civics, you need a bracket for the arm rest console. It uses the same bolt hole as the e-brake bracket, it's like one or two bolts, pretty easy to replace.
With very few exceptions, everything on these cars can be swapped around. All the holes are there to add stuff, just need a different bracket once in a while or add a harness for something electrical.

I can't say for for sure but I'm pretty sure when I replaced mine with the EX armrest (my car is a 96 DX hatch) I needed the bracket below it that goes on the e-brake cable part. Other than that there's no other modifications.
