Help: identified this light on speedometer
Never seen this light ever. Just seen it today. It not the srs light. Look like guy sitting down and some sort of circle front of him. Bottom right corner, right next to the temp gauge. Sorry I do not have the manual book for the car, if I did I would find what the light is on for.
Is it the seatbelt light? Like I said before, I have never seen this light. First time
Ever pop up.
*04 civic
*no side airbad
*never remove or tamper the seat
That the only light stays on. The srs light is there, but it will shut off. I really don't want to take it to the stealership and spend 100$

Re: Help: identified this light on speedometer
thats your airbag-srs light
your sensor that deploys it is f***k'd
replace it
if not and you get into an accident your airbags wont deplay- voids insurance and the other guy won't be at fault even if he hits you

srs does not reset so easily
it could be relateds to other things than the sensor also.
not all code readers do read srs either.
in other words, take to dealer and have the code read there.

Re: Help: identified this light on speedometer
I just got something in the mail from Honda saying they have a "Mandatory Fix" for the air bags sensor of some kind.
Take it to a dealership and make sure this is covered, if it is, it is free. I gotta take my car in to take care of it.

^^ It's for the airbag itself. The igniter in the replacement airbag for the first airbag recall may inflate too fast, sending metal flying and causing possible injury or death.

Re: Help: identified this light on speedometer
I used to have an 01 civic. Every month a received letter stating recall for
My 01 civic airbag, but that didn't really bothered me. I ended up selling it.
Now, the question is. The airbag light is on. Shouldn't I receive a letter from Honda stating it a recall? I don't want to go to the dealership an ending up paying 100$ for diagnose fee.

If it were because of a defective item affecting numerous vehicles - yes. If the light is on because your seat belt buckle is worn out and it needs to be replaced - no.
Then follow the instructions in the DIY which has been posted twice. lol
