I have a 97 CR-V with no spark. Was running then suddenly stalled. A check revealed there was no spark. Looking around on the net read many articles stating to replace the distributor. Installed new distributor and started right up. Ran for about 3 or 4 minutes and then stalled. NO spark again.
Replacing the distributor, cap, rotor and wire did fix the problem temporarily! But after 3 or 4 minutes back to where I started.
Following the input test for the ICM steps 1,2,3 and what I believe to be the WHT/BLU wire step 4 and all checked out. Looking at the black plastic case of the coil saw what looks like a hot spot, small blue circle. Could this be a burn mark from the coil burning out? Using an ohmmeter, I measure resistance between the terminals. Terminal A to secondary got 13.4k. From A to B got 1.2 ohms (DMM cannot zero out. Direct short gives me about .5 to .6 ohms) If I am burning out coils how do I locate and correct?
