Over all this car is amazing motor is strong and pulls good. Paint and body are good for an 11 year old car. All vins numbers match all around from the chassis to the motor to even the doors. Everything is OEM expect for headers and intake. AC blows cold and PS works fine. Any other questions feel free to ask.

I picked this car up literally a month and a half ago as a daily driver. After purchasing it, i blew my gto up and am forced to sell this to fix the other car and just drive my truck.

Body: Excellent (immaculate paint, freshly buffed and machine polished, Seibon hood freshly re-cleared)
Perfect quarters absent of the typical "Honda Rot", impeccably straight body with little to no dings or imperfections in the paint.

Interior: IMO is a 9.5/10 as the only imperfections are a bit of bolster wear on the JDM seats(as most of them have coming from Japan in shipping containers) and a minute cig burn about 1/2 the size of a #2 pencil eraser. (NON SMOKER CAR). The JDM seats had the burn on them at purchase, this car still smells like a brand new car.


The following service items were done by ME.. I have been building these b series engines/ cars since 1996 and have a VAST knowledge base and plenty of references from Hybrids.jp as well as here. My original hondatech name was colt45.

This car has not been altered suspension wise and retains all of the OEM Type R balanced suspension (free from wear from incorrect spring rates or shock/travel rates on stock struts with like sleeve coilovers or any of that business)
I purchased this from a close friend who got it from the original owner and only drove it about 500 miles in his ownership, original owner put approx 110,000 on it... so it has not been passed around to 15 different people.

Headliner and pillars have all been professionally redone and dyed black in favor of the typical gray grungy looking stuff..


The car has a fresh 98 type r head on it with brand new valve guides, seals, oem springs, valves, loss motion assemblies, lapped valves, ect.. I purchased the car and planned on entirely rebuilding the engine making it a 2 litre, and have decided to part ways. It does burn a little oil, i will be honest but leakdown pulls 235, 230, 230, 235. With a fresh hone and new std bore ring set i am positive this will run impecably and not burn any oil. The head work was preformed by Bischoff Engine Service in Indiana which is renown for their motor work. The assembly was done by Total Performance Racing Engines which is also known for their work. I can provide reciepts for the head and parts as well. The cylinder walls look perfect and i am POSITIVE it just needs a ringset at this point since the head is all brand new.
Even burning a small bit of oil the car still runs STRONG and terminates GSR's

Aside from the burning oil, this car is IMO a steal of a deal. I have been offered 9000 cash at a buy here pay here stealership, however would rather sell it to a private owner and not get entirely taken to the farm and get my money back out of it. KBB excellent condition is 13,500 retail with the miles according to my phone application and the paperwork i can scan on here if there is some sort of debate or whatever.

I am asking 11,000 firm and will include the stock hood as well as 2 oem honda filters and a case of mobil 1 5w30, factory service manuals, key, and valet key. (do not have stock parts, was not given them with the car) (all ive ran in it)


This car also includes nearly 5000.00(retail) in high end aftermarket accessories. Countless comparable cars can be found online on the autotrader for 12-16,000.

At 11,000 i feel as if it is a STEAL of a deal for a limited production "Racing" model car.. The insurance company would give you more if you drove it down a guardrail and claimed you fell asleep quite honestly, lol..

Transmission has ZERO grinds, clutch has TONS of miles left on it and grabs HARD(i believe it was replaced by the original owner), brakes work outstanding, tires are new, axle boots are perfect, shift linkage is tight and feels outstanding, suspension rides firm, and overall the car feels tight and sound like its brand new. Ready to be driven and enjoyed.

The stereo is all original, and nothing aside from the seats and headliner inside are out of place in comparison to an oem stock one. Same goes for the exterior aside from the hood which was added to lighten the car.

Working on more pictures as my friend RedStarGSR is out of town on business and is going to professionally photograph the car in detail for interested parties. Till then i can provide these pictures and if there is a seriously interested party, i can speed the pictures up.

Have my eyes set on a 97 so one of the 2R's in the garage have to go. The shell will come complete or parts can be taken off at buyers request. Prices will vary depending on how you want the car. The car has been nothing but fun and i was gonna strip it down again and put it back to stock but this 97 is calling me lol. The car was stolen and stripped in 07. I bought 2 other Itr's to get where im at with it. The front end and five lug came off of 01-0012 and the interior came off of 01-0032 both of which i owned at the same time. The car does not have abs, i rushed a brake line tuck to get the car rolling and never got around to doing it the right way. Any questions feel free to ask

Flaws-
I hit a raccoon. Front bumper is cracked and missing paint. Lip isn't much better, but comes with a pretty much brand new PY lip.
Normal dings and scratches. Pass door has a 2 inch scratch from hitting something on the hwy. And like a 4 inch small dent that can be easily removed with PDR.
Rear bumper could use a new paint. Has quite a few paint chips. Looks like it was repainted at some point and was a terrible job.
Stupid hatch actuator doesn't work. Have to use a key.
Burns quite a bit of oil.

Motor-
Matching VIN. I bent valves 2 years ago due to a freak accident involving the alternator belt. Had the head check out and installed brand new supertech valves, OEM valve stem seals at a reputable shop in Chattanooga,TN have the receipt. Head gasket, Timing belt, spring tensioner and spring were replaced at that time along with a few other gaskets I can't remember. All this was done at 115k. Water pump was done at 96.5k. Plugs and wires replaced 1k ago. Only problem the motor has is it burns quite a bit of oil. Doesn't burn unless your above 4k RPM.

Transmission-
Matching VIN. ZERO grinds. Always changed fluid once a year. Currently has Amsoil MTF. Clutch is OEM with around 40k on it.

Suspension/brakes
Car will come with oem suspension. Has brand new LCA's and shock absorber bushings. Thanks to AsiaWorks in Charlotte,NC. Front brakes are Hawk HP+ and rears are Hawk HPS with 4 track days on them. ATE superblue fluid. Car will come with oem gm wheels with Azenis 615's. They are about 35% thread left.

Exterior-
Like I said has some flaws. Front bumper doesn't have a vin. Think thats the only part that doesn't have a vin.

Interior-
Overall very clean. Zero fade. Back seats look like they were never sat in. Comes with an itr rear trunk mat.

Security-
Glifford 50.7x IIRC. 2 way pager. Professional installed at Midwest Audio in Scottsbluff,NE
Relocated the hood latch cable.

Misc-
Comes with original armrest and badge. Pretty much brand new PY lip. Pass airbag. OEM header and b-bipe. I have the original fender with vin at my parents house in Nebraska. I will ship when the car is sold. My dad put a small nic in the fender so he just bought me a py fender from a py badge# 1337 has vin.

I am a very honest person. Feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to answer them. I have owned the car for about 4 years. Has been garaged the whole time except for a few months. I bought the car with 96.5k on it. CaR has seen a handful of track events. Most of the miles I have put on the car are highway miles. Drove to expo 9,10,11 and multiple trips from SC,TN to Nebraska.
