Now there is not a huge light output difference between 4300k and 12000k. To illustrate my point, here is a comparison picture of the two on the same car. 12000k left - 4300k right
12000k vs 4300k against a wall
12000k vs 4300k showing output
So in the end it comes down to what color you are looking for or like the most. All the Kelvin ratings are clickable to see our customer cars that have them installed.
4300k = Crystal White
6000k = Crystal Blue
8000k = Blue
10000k = Deeper Blue with a hint of Purple
12000k = Violet
Custom Colors (added $10 charge and a 9-13 business day wait. there are other colors also, but these are the ones I have pictures of. These are not available for D2S/D2R or Bi-xenon bulbs)
Also, our Custom Colored bulbs start out as 4300k bulbs and then the gases inside are altered to give the desired color.
Here is a comparison between 4300k and a Custom Color Purple. Also this does not affect the life span of the bulb.
3000k = Tinted Yellow
Custom Color Yellow = Golden Bar Yellow
Custom Color Blue = Deep Blue
Custom Color Pink = Pink
Custom Color Purple = Deep Purple
Custom Color Green = Green

For reference value, we did took these ourselves. Just keep in mind, every vehicle is a little different.
_________5000k_________________6000k______________ ___8000k
_________10000k_______________12000k______________ __15000k
_________30000k____________Custom Purple___________Custom Blue
For reference, these are a weird strong blue/purple color. The custom blue are still significantly stronger than the 30000k bulbs.
______3000k / Yellow______________Pink_________________Green
Fun part the 3000k's are they're extremely housing dependent on how deep of a yellow they are. Regardless, they're always a strong yellow on the road.
Green.

Re: --3BSpec Digital Xenon HID Kits, 50% Off List--
Couple questions that always come up.
Ballast options: Considering how big this forum is, there's no one answer here so...
The 35w Digital ballasts are what we've used for years.
The Canbus ballasts are a higher quality ballast but we primarily use them on BMW's, Audi's, Chrysler's, Dodge's that throw error codes.
The 50w Digital ballast we primarily reserve for people who live out in the sticks, fog lights, or auxiliary lights. Yes they are brighter, yes they will wash out the color on custom color kits, yes we can get brighter than this if you really really want.
The 35w Slim Digital kits we usually use on motorcycles or compact engine bays. Basically the igniter gets separated from the ballast. Just make sure wherever the ballast sits, it doesn't heat soak and you're good.
Harness options: Same as above. Plug-and-play harness is pretty much standard. We've seen kits last longer using relay harnesses but the primary failure point ends up being the relay due to where it's placed. The Warning Canceler Harness only really gets used on cars that throw error codes or flicker like a strobe light. We have most of these documented under the "Browse by Car" section
DRL Module: These are only used on vehicles with Daytime Running Lights. This is where the headlights are half-on when the engine is on and the vehicle is in gear (or the parking brake is off in a stick-shift), despite the light switch being off. It has NOTHING to do with the car having an "automatic light on when dark" feature. That's a completely separate thing.
We primarily use these on GM/Chevrolet's that have the DRL's in the headlights, or Canadian models. Granted these do not work on all DRL's though. Mitsubishi is the most notable. Honda's and Toyota's will have to have the DRL's disabled all together if you're going to replace a light that is the DRL. Oddly enough they also work as a warning canceler on Volvo's O_o
Vision Tech HID Kits
These are our entry level HID kit. We've field tested these locally in the Houston, TX market through a couple shops over the past year just to be sure that they're reliable. We primarily reserve these for fog lights or auxiliary lights. Or for people just looking for a cheap high beam or fog light kit.

I've had your 35w kit since January 2007, good stuff guys.
Is this a sale price or will it continue to be 50% off?

For the foreseeable future it's a set price. Inherent problem is, we deal with a few shops that use our website as a baseline number so we can't drop it on the website without upsetting at least a dozen people.

Doing clean up work on my day off.
Also... for some reason we had a request for multi-color LED strips with a controller. These are primarily for motorcycles and ATV's, but there's more than enough to cover the entire inside of a car with room to spare.
- (10) 1-Ft strips
- (10) 2-Meter extensions
- (10) 3-Meter extensions
- IR controller
- Everything can be run off a 12V source (probably not the cigarette lighter though)

Purchased a set of 6000K 3BSpec HIDs for my Integra. Seller was very accomodating to my needs and even found a method of overnight shipping for Saturday delivery when I only placed my order Friday afternoon. I didn't even have to pay additional beyond the normal expedited shipping even though his normal shipper would not deliver when I needed it. He definately went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied. I would highly recommend him for any product he lists.

*bump*
Clearing out the pending orders right now. Also have a small batch of HID reverse light kits... of all the things we've had come through, this is the oddest thing we've ever had roll through. Email me at hanh(a)3bspec.com if you're curious. Or if for some reason you've finally decided you needed really bright turn signals...
