I did this a long time ago and luckily have all the pictures from it cause we all know I'm a photo ***** :thumbsup:

I'm swapping from OEM to ITR tail lights. (should be same process with 02-04 RSX)




Tools needed:
Sockets 10mm
Really Long phillips screw driver




First thing is to pull off the covers over the rear tail lights. Just pull it off to expose to bulbs




From here go ahead and twist out your bulbs. Then using your sockets remove the several nuts holding the tail lights in place.

Now for the tricky part! Here I'll point out where you are looking. But there are two philip screws under the tail light holding it to the bracket

Now from under the car if you look up you can see these screws...


and a closer look (dont mind the rust :firemad::firemad




(the screws were already removed but you can see where they went and where they go back!)


Now pull out your tail lights. They should just come right out. Now time to prepare for the new ones!

YOU SHOULD ALWAYS CHANGE OUT TO NEW GASKETS!!

these gaskets have an adhesive backings. So peel the gasket paper



and do the reverse of install! Place them in and bolt them down!

yeah in my shop we joke around and call it the Honda driver. I bought it to work on my 95 Accord and have literally only used it around 3-4 times and it was to reach something crazy on some Honda. I love that screwdriver. Just doesn't fit well in my tool box lol
