Johnson_Racing's All Motor EG Build
This is my first K-Series all motor build. Last year I decided that if I wanted to hit my goals, k was the only to get there. This will be a very slow build but will be done eventually. The bottom end should be complete soon and will post pics and info on it when its done.
Will post more pics as soon I get them uploaded. Thanks for looking...

ill probably get flamed for this but i cant believe you changed the og captiva to black.
aside from that, this hatch is looking pretty stout. out of curiosity what are your goals as stated above?

Thanks for the positive comments guys!

No target weight is set. I'm from the most central state in the U.S. so I dont intend on running in any of the nscra events. I've been runnin' through out the midwest IFO races and we dont have any weight limits for the AMP class.

I would have loved to had the captiva blue but the previous owner rattle canned the car black. I picked up the car in december looking like the first pic and had to change that and fast. The car is actually a 93' DX. The original paint color was charcoal grey which I am a huge fan of. I was very disappointed in the previous owner and the 5 different colors I found (grey, white, orange, blue and black). Its was a sad sight. But thats all gonna change.
As far as goals, the block is sitting at the machine shop right now. The bottom end consists of: K24A4 Block, Wiseco 14.2:1 CR 88mm Pistons, GRP Billet Aluminum Rods, Balanced Crank, BluePrint K20 Oil Pump, ACL Race Bearings, ATI Dampner... Thats what I have so far, just waiting on the block from machining. I am pretty set on all the other parts (head, cams, etc.) but as I go along I find something that sounds a lil better each time.
