Re: My 89 CRX SI restore
Cleaned up some unused wires from the car, old alarm, old stereo wires.
it was a mess, o ya and under all the carpet was home insulation, im talking pink panther type insulation . Aint no wonder my eyes and throat would itch after riding around with my windows down, nothing like inhaling insulation fibers. Im kidding about the eyes and throat thing, but im serious about insulation. I wish I would of took pics of that. This keeps up I may just buy a different CRX . Must have been some redneck dynamat .

"10psi' tells me that you really don't have a clue what turboing an engine is about"
yep that sounds like a full and complete answer to me. Sounds more vague than anything else. You have no clue what i know and what I don’t know. So don’t post I have no clue. Hell ya that’s going to **** me off. I never posted that I know everything, which I don’t. And what I don’t know, that’s what Google is for. turbocharger does is to make the air-fuel mixture more combustible by fitting more air into the engine's chambers which, in turn, creates more power and torque when the piston is forced downward by the resulting explosion. It accomplishes this task by condensing, or compressing, the air molecules so that the air the engine draws in is denser. You jumped first by saying I have no clue. I only responded with a full and complete answer. And yes I know by adding boost it will shorten the life of the motor. Alright I’m done with this mess . Thanks for welcoming me to Honda-tech. I’m calling a truce.. it’s all good

All that spare wire looks like it would be enough to build an entire chassis harness, relocate the battery, and rewire most of Las Vegas!
- but when you read the rest of the post instead of taking bit of it out of context you find this...
It's not the boost that causes an engine to fail.
It's the parts not being able to support the power they are being asked to provide.
More air from a larger turbo will require more fuel, and will produce more power.
So that's what I'm telling you - figure out a hp goal that your engine can handle.
Then select the proper turbo that matches your engine's exhaust flow and will get you to your hp goal
... absolutely has nothing to do with psi until you know what turbo is being used.
Errr.... yeah, actually it's a major tip off when you said you might want '10psi'.
I'm not trying to flame you, but I am trying to tell you that if you plan to boost the car then 10 psi means absolutely nothing all on it's own.
With the WRONG turbo at '10psi' it could make the car very unreliable and not something suitable as a daily driver.

I agree, he is just trying to help you set reliable and realistic goals. Something that a lot of the veterans do with one another on here. You might want to listen to some advice from people who have been there. Comments like "you don't know what I know" just spells it out right there. If you want to learn the hard way do things with your knowledge (we all have and learn from our mistakes) Good luck with the build

No worries I've been there. I just want to make sure that many of these good projects go in the right direction. Too many people cut corners and get ahead of themselves only to lose interest in the build, I used to be one of them lol.

Re: My 89 CRX SI restore
IM really liking this ZC setup on this CRX. So im asking for input from you to 4drEF =] what do you think I should do with it. Any one if it was yours what would be the path you would take with it?
