Thanks for the compliments.

We only had 7 pulls on the dyno before we got shut down for the noise. It was 1am in the morning.

We didnt get a chance to tune past 8500. At 8700 there is a cam angle change that caused the power loss. At the next tuning session we will finish tuning to 9500+ RPM.

Sometime next week.

How does the SAE numbers look? Curious with the temp concerns those numbers should have normalized your readings.
Have fun at the track.
apparently you missed the huge intake manifold and 3.5" intake. definitely impressive gains either way

We are going back to the dyno today to finish tuning the car. Hopefully we will hit that 285whp goal.

Tmro July 17th we will be racing at Rockingham Dragway at the Phantasm event. Trying to get the KMOD RSX into the 12s on a DR and seeing how deep we can get into the 12s on Slick.

looks like those Crower cams dont have any more left in them, 270whp/ 190wtq is all shes got.

We ran DannyH in his single cam turbo. At the time that we ran the timing sytsem was not working.

Sleeper6eg had engine issues and could not race.

DannyH and his Single Cam turbo Civic Coupe got out on me but I reeled him in by 2nd gear, then pulled on him by half a car him thru 2nd, and part of 3rd gear. Only part of 3rd gear b/c it broke.(darn k-series trans)

Later that day he ran a 12.4@112 so it looks like the All-Motor KMOD RSX has a mid to low 12 in her. The re-match is set for Aug 27th at Rockingham dragway.

We found the cause of our 3rd gear issues. Dissambled the trans to find this:
A bent and cracked 3-4 shift fork.

Like we mentioned earlier it looks like our goal of 285whp is not going to be accomplished w/ these lil crower cams.
270whp 190wtq was their max.

We have ordered a set of Kelford 179-b cams and will be installing them next week.

New dyno #s and track times to follow shortly after that.

Thanks man, This build has required alot of long hrs out in the garage, and she has been by my side helping me the entire time. She is great and I LOVE her.

I just spoke to kevin at kelford about the cams that we are going to test, and this is what he had to say.

"Hi Marquis,
I haven't used any on race gas myself but on C44 we have seen around 316 on a Dynapac which read generally a bit higher than a Dynamics but similar to a Dynojet.
179-B in the right combo will go 310 easily.
My H22 with roller cams the same size as the 179-B go's 310 on Avaition fuel The next H motor is aiming at 330 to the wheels on C44.

The K heads are good, plenty of people have a port program for them, not all of those port programs are good though. The cams are plenty big enough so really it comes down to pressure wave tuning of the intake and exhaust system.

So we"ll see what we can make w/ these cams.

We finally got a min to work on the KMOD RSX again. We have been so busy w/ customer builds that we hae not been able to work on her.

The new Kelford 179-b cams are in and the engine is back in the car. We also installed a new 5.06 final drive, K-Tuned 5th gear lockout, Hybrid Racing shifter cables, and an Omni Power clutch master cylinder. We should be back onthe dyno sometime today.

276whp 189wtq
We made 276whp 189wtq on the dyno last night. looks like we have reached the limits of our custom header. The header is a 1.75" Long tube header. The next one we do will be 1 7/8 stepped to 2.0". Were going to leave the car as it is for now and do some more upgrades after the winter.
Plans:
-Wiseco 89mm 15:1 Pistons
-BC stroker crank
-New Header(KMOD or ASP)
-Prayoonto 5 or Drag Catel 4 cams

Dyno Video->http://www.flickr.com/photos/33693506@N04/6283097674/

I'm really bummed

im not familar with the cams you guys are using in terms of specs but looking at your whole setup i cant see any other reason you arent making more power... it cant be the header holding u back that much. Ive seen a 105 stroker 350whp k24 dyno with a super early tiny dtr 2 liter 4-2-1 header and then a big tube custom made asp 4-1 header and the power difference was less than 10hp.. a simple 13.7 cp 99 x 87, stock head, stock rbc and stock throttle body made 274whp on e85 with a recrew replica header on the same dyno i made 303 on with a 4 piston head and cartel 4's at 99x87.5 12.5 cp. my car went 119.2 mph at 2370lbs so the dyno is legit.

its gotta be the cams.

i sent you guys a pm on k20a.org and never got a response. how is the driveability with the 84mm and big plenum gato manifold? im looking to do something intake wise but i drive my car on the street and that is my biggest concern. losing some mid range power isnt a big deal but i need that smooth delivery for canyon cruising.

Driveability(throttle rerspose) w/ the GATO Manifold and 84mm TB is great above 2500rpm , but a little sluggish belowe 2500.

Our issue could very well be the Kelford Cams. We will be trying some other cams w/ our custom header to determine what the most likely bottleneck is in our system.

Thanks man. We def have been putting in lots of hrs on the car to get her to where she is now.

Tmro Oct.30th we have a local Grudge race against a H2b powered Civic 3dr in VA at the IFO event. He has gone as fast as 12.6 in the qtr.

We just recently tested the car on an 1/8th mile track, & she ran a 7.83(granny shifting & bouncing the limiter in 3rd). Judging by the incrementals on the 1/8th miles pass the KMOD RSX should run low 12s to high 11s in the Qtr.

We ran the car today at the IFO event in VA.

We ran 12.19@113mph.
Video coming soon.

We couldn't get the track to hook, & could only muster a 1.7 60ft. We usually cut 1.6s. W/ a 1.6 60ft we would have ran 11.96. That would have been great. Maybe next time.

12.19@113mph

I have a HD video shot from another angle that has to be edited, but we will have it up shortly.

so for now here you go->http://www.flickr.com/photos/33693506@N04/6297627390/

I belive that we may have the fastest All-Motor RSX now. Does anyone know of a faster unibody All-motor RSX?

Looks like the launch could be better. Are you slipping a little off the line in that vid?

The 60ft In the video was a 1.783 which was our worst 60ft of the day. Our best was a 1.707.

The video was of our last run of the day, and the car was hot lapped so it had hot tires and a hot motor.
