Fo-Do Fanatics journey to the darkside build.
I've always been a hardcore single cam guy and never wanted a B-series, that is until I got a price on my buddies motor.
Bought the car basically stock minus being lowered on some **** I'm embarressed to talk about. Had three different size tires; 185/50, 195/50 and two 205/50's. Got those replaced pretty quickly and got an alignment. Here's the car as I got it.
1991 Civic Hatch STD
Shortly after these pictures were taken, I multiport swapped the good ol D15B1 and spun a bearing in that later. We don't need pictures of that, now do we
Picked up some new wheels for a hell of a steal. OZ StarLights 15x7 +25, got a roof rack as well(worst mistake I've ever done to the car )
Some of you may have noticed that I have a huge caster problem. I'll show pictures why I have that problem later on.
I've also wire tucked the car as well. I didn't really get any after shots but I do have before shots, ya'll will see some later on
And no wires to see

Got some rear discs as well.
Blew up the ol B1 and picked up a Y7 by a guy named Eran on here. Guy gave me a steal on it and it was a great motor, till the bearings in the oil pump decided to seize. Sooo. With that said, I pulled out the Y7...which out a cherry picker and without dropping the crossmember and subframe. Dropped the trans first out the bottom and then lifted up the motor by hand through the top. It was stupid lol
And it's out!!
I have a bunch more stuff to put up, but I'm sleepy, I'll update later on

You guy's will see it at the spring meet for sure. As for the motor it'll be a secret for a little while. I'll say it's a B-series and is VTEC. That's all you get for now.
Got some new bolts as well. Got these for the intake mani and the exhaust and strut bolts too.
Also got my subframe today to replace the broke *** one I have on my car currently and a DA shift linkage that I'll shorten later on.

Where abouts?
Because I didn't have the right Q-clips and it scratched the **** out of my paint
Ya it's lighter by about 150-200lbs or so lol. Even the rattle cans cost a **** ton of money for my paint. I'm not going to do a mismatched bay. I like a solid one color car.

I have to get a Tie Rod puller. Then I'm putting my new subframe and crossmember in. Then I'll start cleaning things up.
I'll get a teaser of the motor for all you guys, you already know what it is Ferio, I forgot your real name hahah

did you go with a jumper harness for your dpfi to mpfi swap or did you just wire it all yourself?

Re: Fo-Do Fanatics journey to the darkside build.
Didn't really get much done today, I however, did clean the **** out of the motor and got my Skunk2 intake mani all together with all stuff on it. The tie rod puller I got didn't fit right so that was a no-go. Gonna go back tomorrow and get the right size one.
Intake mani all set up and ready to go.
And a good ol' motor teaser for you guys to figure out what motor it is
