Trouble removing key (2002 Accord V6)
Interestingly...i just posted my first post recently. I took my car in and it had a oil leak from the main rear oil seal. The car was left w/ my parents in another city. My dad picked it up this Tuesday and he said he has problems removing the key when he turns off the car. Sometimes he turns the car back on and moves the shift to different gears to reverse, neutral, etc. and then back to park. Then he is usually able to remove the key.
They said we need a new shift assembly unit. I suspect that they screwed something up when they were repairing main oil seal. I spoke with my friend's dad. He thinks they didn't adjust a cable correctly when they put transmission back in after they had repaired the rear main seal.
thoughts?

I have to agree with your friends dad....something with the shoft cable is not right. To get to the rear main the trans had to be moved and so the cable had to be removed. Did they get the proper adjustment.......or forget about it and damaged it while doing the work.
