dsd 2 back to back testing. plug n play cop setup
this was back to back testing this afternoon here on our dyno! the car is my daily driver 95 hatchback with a stock gsr motor tuned on hondata s300! the only mods are jg edlebrock header and pos short ram intake! i tuned open exhaust beacuase the car still has stock SI catback! i wanted to be sure the cat or exhaust made no changes in the testing!
I tuned the car with the distributor "stock" first and pulled the wires off and pluged in the dsd 2 which took about 2 minutes! the first pass i made #34 was to get the car to operating temp. and then the next pass netted small but effective results im not trying beat the car up to tune or make more power cause the dsd is staying on the car and going back to stock exhaust! the dynojet o2 was a little off compared to the plx wideband and was 12.9 ish to 13.1. i wasnt caring about the lowcam its alot lean. i will be doing some back to back tests on the same when i put the turbo on! it will be the same gt35r that we ran in lisa's car to see how much better the spark will be for the blown option! hope this give everyone a postive outlook on how this cop setup may help us get rid of the crappy honda ignitor.
we will be stocking this product very soon after the testing is compleated! hope everyone enjoys the results!

What was the ramp in the a/f the one that cause the dip in the hp/tq. But it look like it did not do it on the cop set up.
The a/f looked a lot cleaner with the cop. Did u change anything when u went to cop.

Not saying you lied just what to know i kind of like to know myself. If we could do something about the dizzy being there i would jump on the band wagon. There has got to be some way to run it with out the dizzy. Maybe a t1 cam trigger and a stock honda crank sen.

The current kit will come with a new distributor cap (you use the old distributor base) with the control box built into it. This allows you to use either the COP or the old leads for diagnostics etc etc, and is designed more for the basic street and road/race use.
The kit will sell for approx. $550-600 inc shipping. It will be distributed by CTRParts.com. This is NOT a sales thread, so I cannot post up anymore sales related information. Please keep any questions to a technical nature.
We are currently working on a new kit, which will remove the distributor completely, but will still work with an oem ecu based setup (e.g Hondata).
Any questions, please feel free to PM myself or Atrain

it looks like the dizzy is just there for cylinder position so the next kit should eliminate it completely right..

No, not this current unit, it's been available for well over a year now. We are just helping with the testing/marketing of this in North America to the street & road/race guys. This is not an MFactory product.
We will, however, be involved with the development of the new distributor-less epm unit, but that is still in the design stages.
