Car won't start, almost fed up. *video*
So when I got my GSR a few months ago, everything was going fine. Then it had trouble starting up. Then one day after starting it up and moving it to my garage, it just wouldn't start after that. I was told by a mechanic that came and took a look at the car that it was the dizzy that needed replacement. I wasn't getting any sparks so I figured he was right. So with that dizzy, I went from this. (sorry videos are a little dark, listen for the sounds)

The engine turned over but did not start.
To this with my new dizzy on it.

It barely turns over and then it makes the weird electrical sound and lights flicker. The fuel gauge shows pressure so I don't think it's a fuel issue. I am just about to give up on this car, so if anyone can recognize the sound/problem, please help.
Thanks

that sound is your starter solenoid clicking. The solenoid is basically a high power switch that puts the power to the starter (the wires in your key switch couldn't handle the amperage that the starter needs to turn the car over, so that's what it's there for). If your battery doesn't put enough juice through the circuit, you will get that repeated clicking.
step 1: Check electrical system for power drains, something could be draining your battery overnight.
step 2: Charge battery overnight
step 3: start car in the morning. If it does not start, look into replacing your battery or trying one from another car. It's possible that it is the alternator, but bad batteries are more common.
EDIT:
I don't think it's a bad starter because you would just hear one solid CLICK and nothing would happen. Repeated clicking suggests a lack of electrical current going to the battery.

sounds like the battery aint giving enough power to crank check if the battery with a volt meter and check for 12volts that should be enough to crank

I've tried charging the battery but that didn't work. That's what I had to do before once my car started to give problems. I will try to get a jump start but if that doesn't solve the problem, what does that narrow me down to?

It DOES sound like the battery isn't giving out the power it should. I would maybe swap it with a good battery(temporarily) and see if it will crank after that.

When a battery goes completely bad you can charge it all you want and you won't get anywhere. Try a new battery. After installing the battery check the voltage across it (with the car off). You should have just over 12V. If it's less you could have a draw. Also take out your starter and bring it to the local Auto Zone, they can test it for free.

Testing a battery doesn't always give you a good status on the battery's health. I had a bad battery in my car awhile back and it tested fine. I replaced it anyway and haven't had a problem since.
Also, you can try push starting your car, but if your battery is too dead it won't have enough juice left to run the fuel system and it will not start. If you tried charging your battery already and it didn't work, then i'm going to say with a high degree of certainty that that's your problem. Because I can hear that your starter is NOT bad.

with the others here. battery/starter are the two places i would look. if you have a friend with a b series swap his battery and starter, see what happens. you can also just swap the battery and push start it.

good news, after a good jump start the car came back to life! Except once I turned off the car it didn't have enough juice to start again. So I need an new battery. Any suggestions on batteries or any will do?
Thanks for all the help, I am so glad that my car has finally reawaken!

make sure you don't have any corrosion around the battery ends. that can cause resistence between the two and also cause it not to start.
