I paid $180 each for two 044's from Titan when I bought my ID2000 at the same time. Best deal I found.

We have a 'fake' one here now (a local distributor just realized they are sitting on a batch of them! lol).

We'll test it and I'll post up the results.
Makes me wonder how many people are actually running these knock-offs....

Well, we couldn't measure all the fuel pissing out of the end cap, but at 70 psi a real 044 flows about 390 lb/hr, this knock-off flows 260 lb/hr. Around 65 psi, fuel started leaking between the end cap and casing. We quit testing it at 70 because it was spraying fuel everywhere.

Free flow (0 psi), the knock off flowed 420 lb/hr, a real 044 flows about 490 lb/hr.

I think their pretty easy to tell the difference.

Real 044
-made in czech republic engraved on fuel pump
-18mm inlet
-12mm outlet
-the metal body has a more shiny appearance then the fake one

Fakes ones
-made in Germany engraved on fuel pump
-14mm inlet
-12mm outlet
-the metal body has a more of a dull appearance then the fake one

These are some of the obivious signs between the real ones and fakes ones.

Just buy from a trusted source on honda-tech. I know Xenocron, Spoolin Performance, T1, and B & R all sell legit bosch 044's. Sorry if I left anyone out.

We sent out a batch of 8 bosch 044 fuel pumps to Kinsler Injection to get flow tested and they all tested out fine.

The knock-off we have here is a little different than the one posted above. The pump we have does have a 18mm inlet, just like a genuine 044, however the knock-off does not have the steel insert (heli-coil) like a genuine pump does. There were a few other differences:













I like how they think the negative lead is more important in China. lol
