Default Andyjt's 01 Integra Type R -From nothing to something 1st J32'ed ITR

Picked her up in Jan. 2008 Shes my 2nd R. Pretty stripped when i got her but the price was right and i had/ have most of the parts to put her back together with. A fresh paint job was first on the list. The car has had a lot of half assed work done on it before, its time for me to fix her up.

Here she is: Stolen out of California in Summer 2005. If anyone recognizes it, im still in search of the badge number.....

March 2008
The Beggining: What im working with!

Update: Quarter panel removal!

Update: Quarter panel on!

Update: Prep work and cutting in of paint!

Update: 5/17.... paint and paint :D

5/26/08: More Paint!

She then made her way back to my house in June. Sat in the garage waiting for more parts to arrive/ wrong parts to arrive/ i ordered parts and kept changing my mind. I made a lot of progress in the past few weeks on it. I dont get to work much on her since i have such a busy schedule.

Fresh pictures as of today. ( First night outside the garage since the fresh paint.

Final parts arriving:

First week of October/ Last week of sept. 2008

*Goal was to get it running by MM 10/3. Spent 1 overnighter(on a work week to get her done) Thanks to Ryan and Bryan and Terry who helped me out a lot. At this time most of the interior was finished, front end on, harnesses in, etc etc and got her running. No exhaust yet nor Teins. They go on next week. Anyhow. On with the pics

Mugen Twin Loop (JDM) Omni-power test pipe, and O2 Eliminator.
***CLEARLY you can see a flaw in UPS's shipping quality.*** Im seriously still PISSED. I was ready to put it on tonight too

Nov. 2008:
Progress set back a bit on the car due to this:

Jan 2009-April 2009

Getting Ready for the EXPO!

June: 2009

After the expo, i realized my caR was slow. I wanted more, something that HASNT been done. I tossed around the idea off and on between this and a K swap. Either way i wanted MORE!

July 2009:
Engines out and swap is being sold/ parted out.

August 2009:
I purchased this from Copart.

Sept 2009:
No turning back anymore :-P

Mid Oct. 2009:
Progress, its going in/ its IN! Ground up running in 3 weeks( working 40+ hour work weeks!)

Oct 17th 2009
It RUNS! After about 2 1/2 weeks from recieving the donor car, shes up and running strong!

Early Nov 2009

The Modding Itch began, and one requirement was a HOOD. I absolutly REFUSED to cut my freshly painted hood to but a huge *** hole in it.

Nov. 2009:
Hood Closes!

Thanks for looking. More updates will come as neccessary.

I ended up swapping to the shorter manifold, cut nearly all of the hood webbing in the way. I spaced the engine/ subframe down 1.5in. I also used a longer steering gear flexible joint. So far no problems/ no hitting the hood under WOT. And i still have enough ground clearance( i dont have it slammed), I have it raised just so it fills the wheelwells.

Looks great!!!!! So all you have to do is change the intake manifold to get the hood to close?
