Progress or Function & Form (f2) Suspension?
wassup HT just like the title says im contemplating on whether to get the progress type 2's or Function & Form (f2) type 1's?? btw its for an EG/EJ coupe (if that makes a difference). im primarily just looking for a dd setup that provides a nice stance/drop w/out sacrificing the ride. Also if anyone has these setups please throw in your .02 cents. thanks! btw i also searched but haven't came up on anything credible or informative that really helps me decide.

The progress coils are not really cheaper, there is just less mark up on them. If you go on ebay and submit a best offer for F&F for 570, they will accept it. I voted for Progress

The popularity comes from the fact that Progress knows what they are doing. Their customer service is great and they are very knowledgeable. I suggest that you call up progress before you purchase and speak to them on what your intentions are for this suspension, they can help you pick out adequate spring rates and have your shocks valved perfectly for that rate. This way you'll have a product that is tailored exactly for your needs. You can't beat that.

I thought about getting these too, but I have a couple of questions. What type of streets are being driven on with these? Who have had these for more than a year? How often do you have to rebuild them? I drive in Philly & the streets are not the most forgiving on suspensions.

What's sad is in light of this poll I bet a TON more people buy function and form just because of the appealing name and powdercoated product.

sadly enough you are right, that and the fact that they will Achieve "fan boy" points at the local car meets lulz. Progress all the way.

^^^ yeah it's been happening a bunch lately. People are to retarded to pay attention to how old the post is. I have the progress springs on my integra. I've never ridden on f&f but I can say that progress will never get any more of my money.

I have F&F Type1s and they can take a turn pretty well and offer a very aggressive drop. They are also reliable and have a 1 year warranty. I do however think they are too harsh to ride on the street. My roads around here are bad but even on some stupid easy bumps it can get harsh. Theyre just too stiff IMO. Either that or the dampening isnt soft.
I would go with progress. I have heard that they are perfect for the street.

I think the dampening is set for track use more than anything. Ask anyone who has these and hasn't messed with the preload. They will tell you these aren't bouncy. Which they aren't, thats a good thing. I think the dampening is set well, just not well suited for street use.

Plain and simple:
People will buy Function&Form instead of Progress for the looks and that others have it on their cars. Yeah, that's one way to waste your money,....just to be like everyone else.
I've had Progress products before and I can clearly vouch for their quality.
