Not that fast, but finally a 10!
Well, I've been trying to run 10's in my ek for oh iono about 4-5 years now haha. It's never been an issue of making the power, just not having the right combination of parts and driving skills haha. But this past wednesday that long time goal of mine finally was met and with it, a new one.....9's!
I've had the car 7 years nows and it has gone through many motor setups and turbo setups to try n find the right one. And being a husband and father of 2 with another on the way, I just can't afford to throw all my money into the car which is why it's taken me so long. In fact, as a rule with my wife, I don't use my paychecks on the car which is fine since family comes first. But enough of that, and onto the car.

James (JFK98) from SpeedFactory tuned the car on Q16. Made 816whp 493tq @ 39psi. We stopped here as my duty cycle was near max, deffinatly could use an injector driver. This was done with a stock port gsr head and gsr cams so I'm sure theres more to be gained at this boost level, especially in the midrange.
And heres the vid. Drove it 45minutes to the track, ran my 10's and drove it home This is the first time I've ever driven a car with this much power so I'm desperately in need of some more seat time. We should have dropped the boost levels as well, as the track was not holding the 35+psi haha. Hopefully, we can get the car into the 9's before BOTI next month.

holy crap i would say with that kind of HP you should have ran a ten, you could miss 2 gears and still run a ten with that power.

Watch the track official at :45 seconds.... :D
Last run very nice. You need to launch maybe 500rpm to <1000rpm higher. I bet you'd have a little better 60ft.

Cool deal. If you listen to your last run you can hear the revs drop. You'll figure it out quick. Pretty good driving for your first time in a high powered front drive car.

Rear bumper support? (but then again you do seem to drive this thing on the street, i'd hate to see the back of your car taco if a old lady gave you the wooptie doo)
