Wix oil filter or Honda?
Well, I bought the car awhile back and have been using Honda oil filters every time I changed the oil. The Honda dealership is a little farther of a drive than Walmart, however, and I was wondering if it matters to use a Wix or if it's preferable to use a Honda. Thanks guys!

I like Wix filters. If you buy from NAPA, buy the cheapest one that's a Wix filter (like a NAPA Silver). They're ALL the same filter, just repackaged.

Re: Wix oil filter or Honda?
I'm sure you'll get a ton of responses. Everyone has an opinion WRT oil filters. Check out bobistheoilguy.com, if you'd like to read every word written in the English-speaking world WRT oil filters.
That said, Honda's OEM filters, both the A01 and A02, are fine. (Yes, I know the A02 is made by Fram, but Honda prescribes the manufacturing criteria -- media, ADBV, etc.) Honda now indicates their OEM filters can be run for two oil-change cycles, but I think that's pushing it. (A "good" filter, yes; not a great filter.)
WRT the Wix/NAPA filter, the Gold ones (#1356) are excellent. The Gold filter has nearly a third more internal media than other filters manufactured by Wix and two internal pressure valves -- one to gradually relieve excess pressure on start up (instead of a simple by-pass valve), and a second reinforced silicone anti-drain back valve. It also has a steel center tube with metal end caps. It's a very high quality filter, and you can buy them for about $5 online from Fleetfilter.
