Jackson Racing superchargers, differences between D16 SOHC & ZC DOHC
Hi guys!
I tried to do a search but had no luck on the subject.
I have the opportunity to get a JR-Supercharger kit for real cheap close to where I live. The only problem is that my car has the D16A9 / ZC DOHC engine, and the kit is originally for a D15/16 SOHC engine.
I need to know pretty quick if I want to buy the kit or not, so I need some knowledge on if it will fit my car or not, and if it wont then how hard is it to modify it to fit..
http://www.supercharger.com/Shop/Vie...eIndexID=33370
As I looked from here the ZC has itīs own kit, but as Iīm not familiar with SC.s I donīt know if they have any major differences. I believe that the kit I was offered is a 989-100, as the one officially meant for the ZC is the 989-110.
If anyone has some info on this, or can atleast point me in the right direction then please do so!
Thanks in advance.

the main difference is in the intake manifold - the SOHC intake manifold won't bolt to the DOHC ZC/D16A9 head - you need a ZCspeed adapter plate to bolt the SOHC JRSC onto the DOHC ZC/D16A9 - email my son, Matt, at matthew@zcspeed.com for details - i believe he still has a couple left from the latest production run

And as the manifold moves backwards Iīm propably going to need a custom lenght belt am I?

Wow that's pimp. I wish they had those when I had my ZC. I'm guessing you could use a skunk or y8 manifold on a DOHC ZC now.
