I'm by no means an expert on the H or F series engine, but if the ECU isn't looking for IABs, I'm pretty sure they won't work.

What are you putting this in, Year and Model? What transmission are you planning to use?

Your best option for a setup like this would be a chipped and tuned OBD1 ECU that has the IAB circuit. This circuit can be added to most tuneable OBD1 ECUs.

The H22 ECU could run this setup but It definitely won't be mapped properly. So it will not run 100%. The VTEC engagement will be off and so will the IAB engagement.

Do yourself a favor: find an inlet manifold(upper and lower) for an F23A1/4 or F23A from either the US or Japan. Gut the lower plenum and port match the upper to whatever throttle body you want to use. It WILL make more peak AND low end power when gutted and ported than ANY other intake manifold for the small port/VTEC SOHC F-series heads. IAB's are forgettable with proper tuning.

First picture is before and after of the half gut/port matched intake plenum, ONLY. No other changes. It gained about 10whp at the top of the powerband, and a decent chunk below 4K.
Second picture is after tuning. The drop in power of the post-tuning line is from high AIT's from about 6 hours of dyno runs. What's important is the low-end gains from setting the VTEC engagement point back down to the factory-ish 2500rpm
Third picture is the F23A manifold half gut/port matched lower(left) vs a non-ported lower(right)
Fourth picture gives you a better idea of how much I actually took out. There was still about another 3" or so of runner length and cutting that could be done and WILL increase power.
