Re: my new project, 91 ef (spens 91 Ef)
i got to say if u do a swap go for the v-tec... i swapped a zc into my Ef hatch and i was like this is going to be tight but at the end i was that's it... in my opinion u will have a lot of fun with a sohc v-tec... and doing the harness u i think u always have to rewire things... u will be able to find everything u pretty much need if the ef faq...

ls's are pretty fun, i have a 1989 Si with a b18b4, if you can though get a 92-93 gsr ys1 transmission, and if you ever get money replace 5th gear with one from an ls transmission for highway purposes. But if you're on a budget, I say you swap it to a d16y8 and turbo or supercharge it. But before all that you might want to work on that suspension set up you have.

that kind of sounds stupid because that newer year engine is gonna be harder to find and possably more expensive

Search and you will find plus 96+ b18b's have better head flow than any of the other non-vtec b series motors. I got mine with 60K out of a 96 GS... Like I said, search and you will find you never know what you can come up with... After I swapped my car my friend takes me to this U-Pull it where I could've gotten a B18C1 for $300 as long as I pulled it myself.
