Default any advice

so basically to make a long story short i am rebuilding my type-r but i have no idea what to do... please dont make judgements and look at me like "what is this clueless girl doing driving a type-r" because i am fully aware of being blessed to drive this type of car especially for someone my age but what i would like to do on this site is soak up as much knowledge as possible since i have to build it from the ground up so any advice would be more than appreciated
-thanks

-thanks everyone for their input if you have any good references of car shops for engine work or bodywork within san diego if you could email me at msangelina07@hotmail.com or you can myspace me lol because i am always on that haha myspace.com/ms_angelina but seriously though thank you guys for everything

First, i don't think anyone would make fun of a girl and an R, thats only a plus in my book. Can you explain in more detail or post pictures so that we can understand the condition the vehicle is in so we would know where to start?

If you're a girl, drive an R, and thirsty for knowledge.

Any pics? Of the car of course

what exactly do you mean by blown? bent valves? blown head gasket? spun bearing? hole in the block? lol

It could be an easy rebuild or an impossible rebuild on the motor.

Yeah, many ways to blow a motor. Hole in the block = throw away.

car looks clean..... if you get rid of those fenders....and find new wheels

might want to take better care of your parts....or tell the person or who is working on it...

but for a girl who wants to learn...

Best advice is to start searching old "build threads" and start reading them from the start. After you read about a dozen of them you should have learned enough to have some more detailed questions for us that we can answer much more effectively for you. Good luck.

also what kind of budget are you on? any time frame? Do you want it stock or work done to it? You need to set a goal of how you want the car to be so you know what to work towards.

My advise is after you get the R up & running is get a new alarm.
It looks like you have an alarm already, but from the look of where your siren is I willing to say it's a crappy install. It's hard to keep a R safe here in diego or anywhere else.

Lucky for her, she's close enough to get a stealth install from wrx-sti-killer without having to travel far.
