Alright, What i did was I orderd 4 lights total. 2 for the maplights(by the rear view mirror), 1 for the dome(center roof near backseats) and 1 for the trunk light.

Heres what i ordered:
(R18's use the same bulbs as Si's

3 x Map/dome(they are the same size): 3022-x9 (1.181 inches long[31 x 10 mm])12 VDC Festoon Base Bulb with 9 LEDS

1 x Trunk: WLED-x6 LED bulb 12 VDC 6-LED

Total was around $15.00
Total estimated instal time was around 20 minutes
*Some picutes may be blurry, sorry
The tools used were...
1 x Small tip flathead screwdriver
3 x 3022-x9 bulbs (see above)
1 x WLED-x6 bulb
1 x common sense

First start by easily popping off the covers on your map lights with your screwdriver(i put a thin coat of duct tape on the end so i didnt scratch anything :


STOCK BULB:


Next, pop out the OEM bulb with your screwdriver from either end of the bulb :


Next, put in the new bulbs (they go in sort of at an angle but once in place you can turn them to get them facing the right direction, dont worry, u wont break anything) :


Left-OEM, Right-LED :


Repeat above for oposite side and then you get....


Dome light :

Pop off the cover (use the exact point as in the picture on WHERE to insert the screwdriver so you can get it right on the latch) :


Once u have it started, you can use ur fingers to work your way around the outside to pop other latches off :


STOCK BULB:


Replace the bulb as done before...


Test it, then replace the cover and you should have...



Trunk Light:

Start by removing the trunk light cover by inserting the screwdriver from the driver side:



Once it gets started, it should slide out tward the left:



Pull it down a bit and then push the tab(blue) holding the holstry and pull the blue clip out :



Find a level surface to work on, and insert the screwdriver under one of the sides of the small clear plastic peice (i will call it the 5 peice because it has a number 5 on it... why? we will never know..) ontop of the bulb. Push in tward the middle with the screwdriver and you can take this peice off:


Next, u can force the bulb out with the screwdriver from the bottom, pushing the bulb up into the cover area :


Replace the bulb with the new one, put the plastic (5) peice back on, re-attach the holstry to the blue clip and you have...


Put the cover back into its place and you are done! :

Edit : I blew a fuse under the hood after i installed these. I was messing around with them and blew fuse 22 in the under the hood fusebox. Thank you honda for adding spare fuses to use!

I think you'd probably get some feedback if they were white leds, the red is kinda ricey IMO, like you installed them to match the red neon rights under the dash =P

I think this would be cool with white led's, or slight blue, like what the new lexus cars use to light up thier licence plates.

Those are junk. I order probably $50 in LEDs from them for a few cars of mine and all but the tag lights started acting up a month or 2 later. I threw them all out. I have the clear/light blueish ones those, hopefully the reds work better for you.

I agree, you probably would have gotten more feedback if they were white.

I white LED'd my interior and it makes it look pretty fresh. Always gets positive comments from anyone who sees it.

The only value for red light in the car is that your eyes are less strained by red light so you don't lose your night vision if you turn the light on.

I personally have the drivers side map light red so I can turn it on while i'm driving and be able to read a map, directions, cd, etc without having to lose night vision.

you shouldnt use a screwdriver to get the oem bulbs out..use something that is not metal

this is one of the 2 reasons i got red. One is because it matchs the LED's beneath the driverside and passanger dash that i put it. Secondly, I hate when its night time and you go to get in your car and you open the door and your blinded for quite some time by the lights. Red's just how i wanted to go. Its all about personal preferance guys

I was looking around for something that wasnt metal and i couldnt find anything that would be safe enough to use, so i looked up on it and i heard people were using duct tape to put on the end of the screwdriver so it doesnt screw anything up and it turned out fine, i didnt scratch anything so im happy

thanks for the feedback guys! This was my first DIY so its nice to hear peoples comments about what im doing to my si. I am completely fine with the people that are saying that i would have got more feedback if they were white and i agree that I would have, but my personal style was red, so i decided to go red thanks guys

i think the red is a lil ricey. i would've gone with white led and the red in the trunk.

I think it looks good. I want to get a set of blue ones for my accord. I got a set of "llight condoms" from my friend to put over the old lights to see how theyd look and its not bad. Just need to order the LEDS
