Default Best brake pads?

Based on your experience, what are the best type of brake pads -- as far as stopping distance and fade resistance are concerned?

We use Wagner Thermo-Quiets at the shop, they are pretty decent pads. Low dust, built in shims, very quiet.

As for high performance pads, I run Hawk pads, I like them. I was going to get AEM pads, but everybody that I talked to said that they have no stopping power, but personally I dont have any experience with them

Never personally used Hawks on an Accord, but the Nissan Z community loves them. I'll be buying a set when I change my pads... so from what I know, Hawks are very good.

I run Hawk HP+ on my 98 accord sedan. I like them and all my friends feel like idiots when they drive it because the initial bite is so good. They love them and so do I. They've saved my *** at least once so far. Just don't buy raybestos rotors or probably raybestos anything, their shitty rotors warped after 3 months with these pads, i put my used rotors from before on and it's been 6 months with no signs of warping.

Another vote for Hawk HPS and Axxis Ultimates (very similar). However, they are dusty and noisy as hell.
